It's a huge concern when he's had effectively 2 years to 'find a replacement' and has struggled to find one in the current crop of players

Maybe a bit of foresight in playing the likes of Wharton and Gallagher more regularly in the qualifiers alongside Rice would have helped, rather than just stumbling across playing TAA in there because he can play a 40 yard pass twice a game

He's started both games and looked completely out of his depth in both. I dare say Wharton probably would have been more suitable despite his inexperience

Wharton is still far too inexperience to be really considered. Although Manioo isn't any better at least he has plenty of big game experience.

He needs to understand that despite our "success" we have won fuck all and when you have the players we do, you don't need someone who runs around a lot in the middle of the park.

Tonight should have showed the whole thing falls apart when your striker doesn't move a fucking muscle.

He doesn't want Bellingham as a deeper player yet he plays 90mins there as a result of us not having the ball. He won't play Foden as a 10 yet in that space he drive straight down the middle and tore them apart, and hit the post with an effort. Keeping the ball is the way to defend and pressing high helps you keep clean sheets.

FA should have sacked him after the Nations League disaster.
