Since when did you "pay" upfront on the Cup Scheme? All you do is say you'd like a home cup ticket (and will attend if you're not working, away etc). You don't hand over any cash at the start of the season do you.....or has it changed?

I thought that once you were on the cup scheme you were committed to paying, regardless of being able to make games. So though the cash isn't actually transferred before the season it is guaranteed.
Yes, if payment can't be made (no money in account) they take you off the scheme.

This x 1000. Fans who pay up front for the season, without knowing how many games it's actually going to be, deserve it, then ST's then City cards then the rest.

You don't pay upfront, however you guarantee a ticket sale as and when they are available. The "(and will attend if you're not working, away etc)" comment isn't really what they care about, they care about you buying the ticket, not showing up. I bought the Europa League ticket against Aris as I was in the cup scheme. I watched the game in a pub in Prague as I was on a stag do and couldn't attend. If I hadn't been on the cup scheme I'd have not bought the ticket.

Wonder if someone in the know could clarify this. If you're in the cup scheme do you still qualify to buy a ticket for a season ticket holder who doesn't have the requisite loyalty points on the first day?

We are aware that some groups of supporters with different numbers of loyalty points would like to purchase tickets together for this match. In an attempt to support this, groups of up to six supporters may purchase tickets as soon as 50% of the supporters have the requisite number of loyalty points, as long as all supporters have 3,000 points or more. Where one or more supporters have less than 3,000 points, those on higher points can wait until every member of the group qualifies or buy tickets separately.

Any one supporter can purchase up to six tickets, using valid, qualifying Seasoncards. To purchase tickets on behalf of other supporters, the buying supporter must be in possession of each of the respective cards at the time of booking and be prepared to answer a number of security questions relating to each of the card holders including date of birth, postcode and card num

Well that would be a valid point if you did pay upfront with the Cup scheme.

but you pay for tickets when they go on sale, as have i to every game ?

where is the difference, with a SC you pay £500+ every summer up front.

Ok then change pay up front for agreeing to pay regardless of wether you can attend or not. It's still a commitment.

well its not in anyway compareable to SC priority then is it ??

Agree with this now, and then give it how long until it becomes like United ????

You dont agree to pay upfront, and as the ticket office stress when you buy. You can opt out of certain games if you give them notice. Just admit you have no idea how the scheme works.

Well seeing as I am in all 3 I hope I know how it works - I can see from your replies that your not!
City take money out of my bank account for every home cup game regardless of me being on holiday, working or just fancying going to the pub to watch it. If I stop this like others have said they have done then I am no longer in the cup scheme !

i hope it doesnt work like that for the final

i opted not to join the cup scheme as i knew i'd miss the first europa game as i was away

been to every other home cup game tho inc coming back from york for villa and kiev!

If you read it again properly, it says fans who are on the cup scheme for FA Cup. When going on the cup scheme you had the choice of each individual cup or all three.......so whilst I appreciate you opted out because of missing first couple of europa league games you could have still joined for the FA Cup.

this is a good idea by City....and as some have already said on here most fans on the cup scheme(s) would more than likely be season card holders with plenty of points anyway.
We have 31500 tickets so take away the ones set aside for corporate, players, owner etc...there should still be 28/29000 tickets going on sale......will probably go down to below 2000 points anyway.

Club have already confirmed to the supporters club i'm in that anyone with min 2,000 points will be guaranteed a ticket
