I'm still yet to hear a valid comeback to those SC holders not on the scheme but have still been to every facup/carling cup/Europa homes and even some of the aways

Why have I been punished?

You shouldn't have been, they should have included you, like the cup scheme people. It wouldn't have been difficult for City to do it either.

That's because you haven't been punished. It's a reward from the club to those who committed upfront to buy a ticket for every home cup game regardless of the amount of games and not knowing the price. Happy now?

Exactly this!

A commitment made by supporters at the start of the race, and not just a raised interest as we hit the quarters of cup competitions. I made a commitment at the begining to go to them all.

You haven't been punished, you just haven't been rewarded.

A valid comeback has been repeated a hundred times. You just don't agree with it.

Why have City Card holders been punished? A Season Card holder with hardly any points has priority over a City Card holder with thousands of points. That's because Season Cards are regarded higher up the pecking order.

Just look at a Season Card with cup membership as a higher level of Season Card (Season Card Plus) and its quite easy to work out whats happening

People on the direct scheme are already rewarded with bonus loyalty points, and that's where it should end. Don't agree with the group scheme or the kids scheme either, it should just go down to loyalty points and nothing else.

So in effect your saying scrap the cup scheme all together! Just have loyalty points. What about the seasoncard holder (me) who still has a good balance of loyalty points, and made up part of the low turn outs in this seasons cup run ? Is it fair that someone with the same number of points than me who has'nt been to a cup game this year still gets the same priority as i do ?

I think it's fair that someone with more loyalty points than me gets a chance at a ticket before I do. For me, it doesn't matter when or how those points were earned.

And I'm not suggesting scrapping the direct scheme, just that being on the scheme is a way of getting more points, but shouldn't put you ahead in the queue of someone with more points

Fair enough by the club. I wasn't on the cup scheme (but went every game anyway) but I will be next year. That's exactly what they want.

However, this is no different to how United do it, and we've all criticised that in the past.

Its not so much a reward as its as much a chance, take for example the season before last, when we got knocked out against forest, and brighton only had too pay for one match, yet had a large chunk of points for that game.

It'd be interesting to see, but im guessing no more than 600-700 would be on a first year season card and in the cup scheme getting a ticket before you.

I'm in the direct scheme myself. I actually benefit from the policy, although I would have got a ticket anyway.

And the reason I joined the scheme despite knowing I would miss some games was the 125-150 (can't remember) bonus points on offer.

This is more or less where I am too. Why not just announce the criteria as being ALL supporters with 6000 loyalty points, then 5500, then 5000 and so on. To my mind, it's irrelevant how those points were accrued. Very fair and very straight forward.

Why have I been punished?

1) You have NOT been punished - others have been REWARDED.
2) Those signing up to Cup Direct Scheme have SAVED the club money in terms of reducing the marketing / admin effort needed to shift tickets for the various cup games.
3) A financial outlay game by game can not be compared to a firm up-front commitment to pay for all games (when you don't know how many games that will be).
4) Rewards for people who sign up to DD type schemes / yearly contracts vs pay-as-you-go are common throughout business...so why should football be any different?
5) If the club wishes to use a high profile game to ADVERTISE the potential benefits of the CDS ...it is good common sense marketing.
6) get a life and stop moaning.
