The jokes will all be on you soon

How's that then, is he threatening to win an away game ?
We have bossed every away game, therefore there's not a lot wrong..
We didn't boss Stoke, Cardiff, or today, we had a lot of ball, but that is not bossing anything. In the second half today we created the square root of nothing, despite probably 70% possession, and the most likely result in the last 20 minutes was a break away Sunderland goal.

Just back and still angry. Got to say that is the most inept display of management I have seen in a long time , this guy is fucking clueless. Need to score swap a right back ,jimmy out wide right with navas on bench and Garcia in the team. To completely change the back four for a game away from home with great results going into it is beyond belief. 3 hours on a coach and still not calmed down he is fucking useless
My mates are not back yet they stopped off in York to get bladdered to forget the whole sorry affair, i know how you and they feel, just glad i didnt waste money going, more to spend in Munich

Ive completely lost faith in the manager after this display. Pellegrini looked absolutely lost and uncomfortable on the touchline today. We lacked such imagination that the only reason that Wes Brown got motm was because Navas was kicking the ball at his shins throughout the entire second half. Hes come out and said hes happy with our away performances. You could give him the benefit of the doubt and maybe he has a point but it is the manner of our defeats and the narrative of ridiculous bad luck associated with them. I have a general bad feeling at the bottom of my stomach and have come to the conclusion. Combined with how he dealt with Mourinho gate a couple of weeks back that he is an unlucky manager, doesnt really have the class of his predecessor and definately not the man to take this club forward. Maybe we should give Jupp or the General a call?

I hope im proved foolishly wrong
I am 100% with you - starts with 2 fullbacks who can't defend and a midfielder who would not even get into a Championship team and lets them stroll about for 45 minutes without any purpose or aggression. Leaves Yaya on the pitch when he was having one of his frequent can't be arsed days and just sits on the bench chatting to his pal - where is his desire and passion?
Is that criticism fair? Would you really take Yaya Toure off? I agree he had a poor game, but without Silva and Fernandinho where was the killer pass, surge going to come from

So much nonsense being talked tonight. By midfielder who couldn't get into a Championship team, are we talking about the player who plays for Spain, and who played for Real Madrid and Benfica and bossed many a Champions League game. The problem with Garcia is that he is not the main man in our team whereas at Benfica he was one of their main players whom everyone had confidence in. At City he covers in defence or is in one week in defensive midfield, and is out the next three

Yayas off days are fxxxxxx annoying and counterproductive to say the least. Why dont we put Javi on the transfer list in jan and see if either Benfica or Madrid make a multimillion pound bid?

If some are now suggesting messrs Moyes, Rodgers, AVB, Pochetino are better than Pellegrini, then where to begin?

This title race is WIDE open, adding to the hysteria and frustrations, as we are using previous campaigns as the barometer.

Come the end of December, we will be in that top three and right in the mix.

Thankfully, the transfer window will be open and we'll be busier than most, getting rid of the deadwood frauds who have stolen a living for too long.

Pellegrini will get what he wants after qualifying for next stage of Champs League.

Do think he and we would have been better served keeping Barry for his final year.

Dzeko, Richards, Lescott, Milner, Hart, Kolarov, Garcia, all on borrowed time.

We will be champions.

You sound like a desperate man repeating a mantra so that your wishes come true.

By the way 4 of these deadwoods are English. so where does that leave us re the homegrown quota? And by the way if Pellegrini is as you suggest being let down by useless players why were you so vehement in your opinion that Mancini was underachieving?

Do agree with you re Barry.

Our first starting eleven is so superior to any of our rivals, that is why I retain my conviction we will be champions.

As for the English quota, I don't recall Mancini being to fond of them either, Barry, aside?

The English quota is not a City problem, it's an English football problem, players not good enough technically.

We go and get who we can if needs be.

Mancini could not even get the best out of the players he brought in towards the end, he lost the dressing room, and no way back for any manager once that happens.

I have been pretty impressed with the players Pellegrini has brought in/sanctioned.

No great surprises which players continue to get found out.

I realise english players are generally crap but if we get rid of four don't we need to buy four more as we have to have 8 home growns.

We didn't boss Stoke.

We bossed today's game, and Villa and Id argue Chelsea. Yes we didn't convert and of the 14 corners we had today? Or create enough from the 70% possession but we certainly didn't deserve to lose the game.

I maintain we were unlucky to lose all our away games, and whilst we were far from our best in some of these games, we have not had much luck and our performances are far better away from home than results would suggest. Not saying I am happy with the performances, but I don't think it's too big of a step for City to take to start drawing or winning some of these away games. And I would not blame the manager for the poor results. It's just an easy way out.

The only valid criticism I have heard from about 500 different contributors is that he should have played Zabaleta instead of Richards and Rodwel instead of Garcia. Those are marginal decisions to my mind.

Sober as a judge!

Will bookmark this all the same ;)

Of the 7 players above who are all on borrowed time, Pellegrini chose to play 6 of them?

Right ! Can you explain this Tolmie ? Playing six of the players to be shipped out doesn't sound like the work of a tactical genius

Borrowed time, with respect to their performances and an upcoming window.

Not sure who else people expected Pellegrini to choose from today, other than swap the entire bench for those I cited.

Re: Clueless manager

How many games with Yaya with the captains armband have we lost this season?

When is the last time YaYa was on the bench or in the stands during a Premier League game?

Txiki Begiristain and farran Soriano hand picked Manuel Pellegrini as there yes man who will incorporate there signings into a team so all you blues looking for a scape goat in Manuel I'm afraid he's here for the long haul...

Pellers failing is simply not an option for F&T. Hence the spending on players who could make an instant impact on the team rather than buying younger as in previous years. If we do fail the club will first redefine what is 'failure' and second make sure some players cop the majority of the flak. Whereas previously it would have been the managers fault (understandable if politically you want him out) now it will be the fault of the squad with at least one big name being moved on plus some chaff. There is an outside possibility of Pellers moving on 'to spend more time with his family' if other preferred managerial choices become available. If they don't Pellers will stay.

As to today not a huge surprise. I said that previous defeats could not be treated in isolation; got bored of pointing out our defence collapses under a stiff breeze and that the biggest weakness we have is a mentality. Ferran credited Mancini for changing the club's mentality which he undoubtedly did. Unfortunately Mancini seemed to have taken it with him when he left. Be nice if he could send it back although if he did I suspect Pellers would just mislay it again. Back of the sofa would be a good place to start.

If after 11 PL games plus cup, CL and friendlies people can't see a pattern or the problems then I suggest they are either not looking hard enough or too vested in Pellers working out to acknowledge them. That said I never saw us in 8th fucking place after 11 games or losing 4 by November. Makes you pine for the days when losing our first match in December was a bitter blow.
