Colin Bellsend needs to be severely reprimanded for his knee jerk reaction. What were City fans saying about Pellegrini after the 7-0 thrashing of Norwich (who beat us last season) and the 5-2 trouncing of CSKA Moscow? Some of you Bluemooners are so fickle. According to my detailed assessment, we are only 3pts off what we should have been at this stage of the season. After all, we did beat Manure and Everton, when creditable draws could have been expected. No intelligent City fan could have predicted us getting more than a point at Stoke, Chelsea, West Ham and Sunderland. Moreover, we are still only 6pts off the leaders. With a good run under our belts, we could easily be top by February. Stop panicking! Give the manager our support.

Stick around when the next good run starts a load of them disappear only to reappear the next time we loose
Stick around? Have you seen his username? He'll be haunting us for eternity.

No intelligent City fan could have expected an away record better than 10th best in the league when we had the 5th best away record (which wasn't good enough) last season, and we've spent nearly £90m net on attacking players.

I want him sacked, he`s slowly managing to make each player worse & he doesn`t learn.

Nasri? Aguero? Silva? Kolarov? All playing better than they did last season IMO. And "doesn't learn"? Based on 11 games!? As I recall, we lost 1-0 at Sunderland last year.....and the year before that......and the year before that. Looks like the previous manager didn't learn either
The previous manager lost 5 away games ALL season , we`ve lost 4 already under this manager. what happens when our home form falters ? The only game away where he has set us up correctly was Chelsea then its back to his usual mistakes v Sunderland, as I said he doesn't learn.

You don't think he set us up correctly at Villa, West Ham or Plzen then? Also, you don't think he deserves to be cut any slack regarding team selection at Cardiff and Stoke, given that he'd only been at the club for about 5 minutes?
You keep making absolute statements that you can't defend. You said he was making "each player worse". Demonstrably he isn't. You said he doesn't learn, yet bar the tactical debacles against Munich and Sunderland, the latter of which was partly brought about by injuries galore, demonstrably he has. Oh, and as to Mancini's fantastic away record, his last 8 away games in charge yielded 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats, and many of the performances, struggling to circumvent a parked bus, were eerily reminiscent of Sunday's

Not true.

In reverse order:

Wigan (Wembley) L
Swansea D
Spurs L
Chelsea (Wembley) W
United W
Everton L
Villa W
Southampton L
QPR D

Forgot Chelsea in the semi, soz. Otherwise exactly as claimed, as far as I can see.......

And when did any of the Mancini haters on here ever let the facts get in the way?

-- Tue Nov 12, 2013 7:55 am --

lets cut to the chase.

we dropped an almighty bollock sacking Mancini. worse still was the summer of winning the title we didn't invest in our success.

both criminal acts.

I might not be intelligent but for starters you could have got 9-1 over here in oz for Sunderland winning against us on Sunday and most betting sites were offering at least 8-1.

Not quite the same odds against West Ham and Stoke of course but in any case the odds a bookie would have given you all up for us to gain one or zero points against those four sides after the Newcastle game would have been around 330-1 so cheers to those who took the odds but left out West Ham as a roving banker.

I am pessimistic about City at the best of times but I would have predicted us getting at least 7 points in those games.

I notice your analysis doesn't include the away games at Cardiff and Villa and again if you include them in your banker and leave out West Ham even at the worst odds you could have got well over 500-1 us not picking up more than one point in those five games.

As for predictions from here on in I guess it depends on your definition of what constitutes a good run.

For some we could go on a better run away from home in the next 6 games and be 15 points behind top spot come February.

No one I see on here is panicking.

I give the team my support and am happy for any manager who happens to gain success by whatever definition is meant by success.

There should be no qualms about the view that MP hasn't got the best from this squad so far this season and hasn't hit the ground running when you compare it to the starts under Sven , Leslie, RM with what they had to work with and the circumstances presented to them at the early stages of their tenure.

By any objective measure its the worst start in the first eleven games since the new owners took over when even " your detailed assessment " is taken into account.

Its cold comfort when you get down and dirty to say well the others are not doing much better than us at this stage.

There is no rhyme nor reason why those sides currently above us should be thinking well we are happy to be above the blue boys after 11 games but wait until they click we will soon fall behind them.

That's not what the manager of Everton , Liverpool , Southampton ,etc think and not what there players think or believe.

I can guarantee you the manager of Southampton and their players believe wholeheartedly that they will pick us to pieces when we play them soon their patch

If I was a bookie I would start us as 4-1 outsiders to win that game and see how much money for us comes rolling in.

I would concentrate on our current gaffers awfull away record than the previous one

And just to compare the two
Pelles last 8 away in la liga

Won 1
Draw 1
Lost 6

Not quite sure why you've quoted me with that post.
