Do people enjoy the derby?

hate it really, when we lose its awful and I feel like going home and not leaving the house for a week, when we win I enjoy it but never seem to get as much out of it as I should. I put on a brave face but I struggled to get over the semi defeat last season, mainly because we never really had a go IMO, this has been a problem under Bob when playing them

Love em its what footballs all about had some great piss takin days at O.T. oh Arthur Arthur,Brightwell goal after the 5-1 etc brilliant days stuffin em after the munich tribute all while we had shite teams. sure getting beats a bit of a pisser but for me not much point being a football fan if you can't enjoy these games and anyhow the sky watchers won't have much time to take the piss off to Greece Sunday morning.

So given that the general consensus is that it's a fucking horrible game to get through do you think that our obvious and apparent tension transmits to the players?

Because to blow it so many times in recent years there must be something going on.

You would think that we won't be playing them from the position of underdog with all these great players but if we're all nervous Normans leading up to the game and during it could have a negative impact couldn't it?

I detest it when it comes round , especially at the swamp as I rarely have any hope whatsoever . I hate it , the full 90 minutes are painful to watch purely because I know those bastards could score at any moment and the humiliation starts there . My heart sunk 3 times last year every time in the 90th minute and I never want to experience that ever again. But hey if we win the game , I would never want the day to end , I can't wait for the next time we beat the rag bastards as the abuse I hand out will be nothing short of lethal

I hate every fucking second of every game. To be honest it's just because we've such a bad record against them, if I was a Rag I'd fucking love Derby day!

Even in the games when we have come out on top there were always patches of them where I have ended up nailbiting. I love the adrenaline but hate losing them. Last season was especially hard to take.

Some great memories like the 3-1 and 4-1 but some awful ones like Beckham's free-kick after 95 seconds and the 5-0 in the 90s.

Regarding Spiros' comment above I think maybe a couple of times at home, to be honest the atmosphere at the last 2 have been a bit flat but I don't think it applies at Old Trafford at all with only having 3,000 there.

Hate it because we don't win it enough, we always seem to buckle or something goes wrong. I hope we go for the throat at Old Trafford if our points situation allows it.

Right, enough of that, because every single Bluemooner knows that is just not going to happen.

I love it more and more - there's an edge and tension to derbies these days that hasn't been there in my time (supported city since 76) until late because it matters more now to both teams. We're gonna win some and lose some.

I think we need to be more confident and vocal in future - believe the hype and don't be nervous and transmit it to the pitch.

Remember Eastlands in full voice during the CC semi at 1-1 and thinking we might lose or we might win but either way these nights are gonna become the norm not the exception.

BELIEVE!!!
