I do feel a bit guilty about it but been disappointed so often I have stopped caring. I followed Wales in the Euros (wife is Welsh) and that was fun due to limited expectations.

Do I give a toss about England? There's internationals taking place at the weekend and I won't watch any of it, it's like an empty non event of a weekend for sport wishing it away for the Everton game to hurry up as I'm still fizzing over the Spurs defeat.

Surely the reason why so many people don't give a shit is due to the number of Rag players who get in the team simply because of who they play for and not on merit .
There have been so many examples that it just becomes farcical and totally devalues the award of an international cap .
Every fucking Rag is heralded as world class or the next ( fill in the name ) despite being no better than average , and supporters are expected to buy the shit peddled by the media just to appease the hoardes of United loving lemmings.
If we ever get a manager who just ignores the Rag players who just aren't good enough , there might just be some interest shown in the national team .
I mean Tom fucking Cleverley for example - and similar tells you all you need to know.
