Do you support the RMT?

The machine does not do all the work. A popular misconception. Any fuckwit can make it go, but it takes a shit ton of training to know how, when and where to stop the bastard. But I will admit that when things do go wrong, we have considerably less distance to plummet.
Those ones in Australia that are about 5 miles long must take hours to make one manoeuvre!

You can literally switch off the controls in flight. And you don't usually get desperate people trying to end their lives by jumping in front of a plane at 37000 feet.

I heard one of the Reps from aslef today saying the new minimum service law was a blessing as they are now getting paid to strike and it will be longer and more disruptive.

Not sure if that’s a fair assessment or the rep being a bit bullish for the cameras, but a proper own goal by the government if it is.

They said sorry so that’ll be the end of it. Yeah sorry you got found out.
That'll be the same management contract others will have.

Explains a lot about their thinking when the job goes tits up.

Happy to strand passengers hundreds of miles from home with the cop out. 'You can use your ticket tomorrow.'

As it's looking like the Tories are hanging on.

Expect another ballot shortly.

TSSA and Unite are discussing one as they have re-engaged on their agreements.

Meanwhile the offers to RMT have been so hilariously bad.

Enforcement of OT without pay in disruption being a doozy.

Removal of regular rest day pattern. Days off to be determined by business needs is another.

Of course they should be supported. Its not just about pay its about conditions and the state of the railways. We are running a pre-WW2 service at massive cost. Just go on YT and looks at VLOGs from train travellers and compare here with.........well anywhere. Europe has fast quiet modern sleek trains at affordable prices (partly because Brits are subsidising them because they could identify the privatisation dodge) but I just watched one seasoned traveller who went Standard Class ( felt like first class she said ) non stop from Madrid to Malaga on a High Speed Train - 18 Euro's.

I went from Albufeira to Lisbon last year €43 return on the high speed train, first class going standard coming back I honestly could tell the difference both were excellent for comfort and leg room, great service.
