Donald Trump

Trump has an addiction to media coverage. He lives everyday looking at how much coverage he's getting.

But he doesn't really see the positive and negative coverage the way normal people do. He thinks everything is good unless it drops below a very low bar. His recent interviews in his mind will be mostly good. The fact he's getting called racist won't bother him. He'd rather people talk about how racist he is than say nothing about him at all.

That is in part why he won in 2016. But his problem in 2020 and now in 2024 is he doesn't have anything to say that people haven't heard before. He's no good at talking policy. And he has no good grounds to attack Harris, or his preferred attack is race. And the more people see of him the more he's going to turn off the swing voters and motivate the dems.

So he won't stop but he desperately needs better material.
He’s a typical narcissist as long as he has the attention for what ever reason good or bad he’s happy. Any sane minded American should be able to see him for what he is

Yes, but about a quarter of them don’t see thru him. That’s 45% of those who vote. His followers are typically not those who went to college.

I do wonder about these threads sometimes !

So, are you saying that people who never went to college shouldn't be able to vote ?

I reckon that might affect both teams much the same way.

No, he's not explicitly stating that, and one does not lead to the other. So this is a variant of "non sequitur" fallacy. On another note imho it's a pitty they dont teach kids about logical fallacies in normal school.

@KS55 didn't say they shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

He said those, who didn’t go to college are more likely to vote for the idiot.

Now, you’re twisting my words.

More likely is not the same as definitely.
Exactly why I have to scratch my head in these forums sometimes, blanket statements, that are full of holes, then backed up by a pile on.

So why talk crap in the first place. We all know that the US offered the choice between a shit butty, and a shit toasty for choice of President, now that has changed slightly with the latest offer of a shit butty, and the toasties substitute because she had access to the previously raised funding (after all, we can't return the cash, especially after act blue have washed it through thousands of who never even knew that they were contributing).

Isn't this just the same as the statement that all Brexit voters were racist/uneducated etc, etc ? Look how well that turned out.

Or have better political education at secondary school,
Or outlaw the banning of books,
Or widen the make up of school boards,
Or ..etc etc.
Universal franchise is a sine qua non of democracy and nowhere did I even hint at changing it.
