If Villa stay up, it makes more sense to keep him there given this is already a big and expensive window. No point adding another £25m if we can avoid it.

If they go down, buy him and get him a PL loan.

I would like to see more to his game than the organised defending I've seen in the last 2 games for Villa. Yesterday he was excellent but he never had the ball.

If Villa are a bit better next season having stayed up and reinvested the Grealish money they will inevitably get, lets see the other side of his game. Also Villa fans seem to think he's only been good since the restart, so lets see him do it for more than 6 weeks.
 
Other than the obvious reinforcements at CB and LB. Another top quality CM who can play the Rodri/Gundogan role should be a priority IMO.

With all due respect to Ferna. I have no interest in seeing a 35-year old Ferna play his old role. We all get older unfortunately.

Wouldn't mind Luiz. But i think Bennacer is also an interesting option.

What you on about, in a discussion about whether we bring him back now, I said I'd wait a year. Don't have a clue how football manager or playstations work. Do understand how a discussion works though.

Genuine question because I haven't watched Villa much (at all), but would we be interested if he wasn't a former player with a buy back clause?

I'm just curious because I haven't seem him play much, not at all since the restart, but the consensus was he was underwhelming at Girona. I hadn't heard much about his time at Villa, so i'm wondering if he's truly good enough and would be an asset or we're just feeling a bit nostalgic (not exactly the word I'm looking for but bear with me). Of course it's not unnatural for a player to take a big leap and I do know Pep wanted to keep him but there were issues with the work permit.

If Arsenal are genuinely interested I hope we rinse them. Let them know directly if they try to come in for him we will exercise his buy back clause and ask for double as a starting bid from them. Time we play hard ball with a few of these fuckers that have tried to screw us

Would imagine that’s people making a link with Arteta. Surely with Guendouzi, Torreira, and Xhaka, that’s a position which doesn’t require immediate addressing.

Guendiozi may be on the way out. Arteta is like Pep. He doesn't play that "talking back to the manager" game. You try that shit and you in the doghouse. No exceptions!
