He 'upped his game', this season, you numpty! Remember, he actually played our first few games? Remind me how goals were conceded by us in competitive games again...?

He clearly has upped his game this season, you numpty. I would have thought, despite all the contentious points raised in this thread, that the fact that he has upped his game was unquestionably true

Wonderful. You ignore the crucial point about our games that he played in, eh? He'd 'upped his game' by then and was STILL turfed! All cos Hughes is stubborn.

Best to say nothing so avoid being called a fool, Wonder Pet...

Are you mental? You're agreeing with me yet arguing with me at the same time.

You might not agree that letting him go was correct, fair enough, you're entitled to an opinion, but im actually agreeing with you that, and i'll make this quite clear, HE UNQUESTIONABLY HAS BEEN PERFORMING BETTER THIS SEASON

IIRC, zero conceded. He was superb in both games.

Kevin Davies wouldnt have got half the joy he did on Saturday if Dunnie was marking him.

People say he is prone to errors, but he saved us more points than he cost us, and I think we do miss him in the middle of the back line.

Okay, Wonder Pet! Calm down, sunshine! What bugs me is that people never recognise the shambolic partners(Neddy aside) that Dunney had to 'work' with for a few seasons! They never take it into account on how it affected what he did on the pitch for us. That is reflected in your post about him last season.

In what way as I was at both games and thought Dunnie had a decent games as did the rest of the back four who were wernt really tested much in both games

"Weren't really tested"? It's always the way, eh? Guess you could say the same of Barca, then...

It didnt seem to affect him the previous 4 seasons. Like it or not, he wasnt very good last season. Would i have kept him? Yes. Would he be starting for me? No.

Him leaving was the best for all concerned and it seems to have given him a new lease of life, but as someone else said, you can still see some of the Dunnie we know and begrudgingly love creeping into his game. Mad handballs, dodgy clearances and hoofs upfield

Love him to bits, legend, but there is no room for sentiment in football these days im afraid
