The guy was very frustrating tonight, and when Mancini took Kun off instead I was a bit bewildered. But then after we were down to 10 men he came into his own. He fought hard for the ball and was a nuisance. He also restrained himself when it would have been easy to have given Skrtel the elbow.

He's out of form. But so is Kun.

It will be nice when Balo is back. But that's not to say that Edin doesn't have a big future at the club.

no it doesn't but saying he was utter shite is a bit too far...he put in a shift tonight...had poor touches I admit and wasn't as threatening as you would expect, but in those last 20 minutes he was knackered and yet he came deep helped with the ball distribution and the only ball he lost was the one when he waited for too long and enrique came from behind and stole it from him...other than that his passing was good...and he should have kicked skirtel's head in...

It's all well in good putting in a shift but after a while we need goals from him or holding the ball up, winning headers. I think it speaks volumes that we're complimenting him about work rate rather then what should be goals.

I agree as his work rate is not something he is famous for...anyway the goals will come...it's a dry patch and once it passes it will be back to spurs performances...still does more than carrol and torres did together...headers he didn't win many but he had the shit kicked out of him by skirtel and agger...and i think he held the ball up well...but that's just my opinion...

Every time he fcukin plays, EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES. "He was isolated"... "No service"... "Getting the fcuk kicked out of him"... "back from injury".. and then we hear "He worked hard though" or "Goals will come", "Give him time". Well I'm sorry he has had one good game and the Bosnians who primarily defend him will state "he's World Class" "the German league, 20 goals...". Well the premier league is a different kettle of fish and Edin dzeko is simply not good enough. Fact.

Having got back in from the game, I'm watching the match again and the commentators have just said (after he miss controlled again) "That just about sums up his night tonight" which was fair comment, he couldn't hold up anything, or turn, or shoot.....

I'm sure he will come good again, he's too good a player not to, but I don't see why some people get so pissy about Dzeko. When he plays well, we (I know I certainly will) will say so. When he plays poorly (such as tonight and at the weekend), we shall also say so. It his fucking apologists that are the problem, the ones only on here because of him (not City). they suffer from extreme myopia and can't be objective. It fucking annoying.

He will know exactly how he is playing at the moment, and regardless of how he is playing he needs our support not bitching and moaning about him.

The guy is class, his goal scoring says it all. When he is putting them away for fun you dont woman about him, but when hes struggling a bit you all get on his case.
