I'm far from a Balotelli apologist because I find him an attention seeking baby with questionable professionalism - but Mad Mario does make goals too. Dzeko doesn't.

Again, not saying who's better (Mario is in my opinion) I'm just stating a fact.

If you only judge players from stats you end up paying 22m for Stuart Downing. You have to judge players overall contribution to a game and how well they fit in to the team. Dzeko's first "touch" last season was embarrassing for the vast majority of the time.

He seems like a good lad, and he's a different option for us if plan A isn't working, but I don't think the team is going to fall apart if he leaves.

I think he'll leave, but once again I'm not bigging him up to say he's better than he is, I've criticised him as much as any one.

I'm surprised he's came out and said this (hence like many others my reluctance to take this at face value) but many on these boards have pointed out having 4 great strikers was always going to cause problems such as this. If this leads to a move I hope this gives Guidetti a chance to get closer to the first team. I thank Dzeko for his time and I wish him well wherever he ends up, wonder if any of the Bosnians we picked up from him will stick around.
