One good game against a team who got twatted 5-0 by a Championship side last week and he's back to the best player in the world.

These Bosnians are nothing if not predictable.

No, I don't, that's just your opinion, in fact, if I was in the squad right now the competition I'd be thinking about most would be the league cup, as we're (literally) only 1 game away from a trophy. would it surprise you to learn that out of our 6 games in the Champions League this season, Dzeko has started 4 and come on as a sub once? And of our 20 premier league games, he's started 8 and come on as a sub 6 times, not bad treatment for a 3rd choice striker, especially when you consider the manager is out to wreck his career.

1) There is a reason for Dzeko starting last two games of CL. Because it was all done. Or manager thought it was at Bayern game. There is also a reason why Dzeko will not start any of Barcelona games.
2) He is not automatic third choice nor was he promissed to be by this manager. He persuade him to stay. After that he told the media that Dzeko is his Main man. And than drop him after first bed ( 45 min in a third game ). Before that Dzeko had 4 great games and one solid ( Cardiff City ). Which is not bad for me that Dzeko was droped. Problem for me is that he was barely used in next 10 games. ( unable to prove himself ).
3) Manager does not want to wreck Dzekos career nor he dislikes Dzeko. He want to have BEST third choice striker in the world. In fact he wanted it from the begining. He just gave him a chance of 2,5 games like you give to unproven players. He seems to forgot that Dzeko was/in proven player in all possible ways and Best PL scorer of team that he in managing in last year ( 14 goals ).

What were these 4 "great" games Dzeko had before Cardiff?

I don't even think he's had 4 great games this season and not many more than that in his entire City career.

1. so we shouldn't play dzeko against west ham in two weeks than as it's obviously 'beneath him'?
2. Nobody is an automatic starter, nobody is guaranteed they'll be first choice at the end of the season just because they were at the start, are you denying that negredo took that starting spot on merit?
3. Again, Again, Again, It doesn't matter what Dzeko did last year in a season where we played in a different style under a different manager with different players, it doesn't guarantee him a starting spot this year.

True, and while they frustrate and irritate me as much as anyone, we have to give Dzeko credit for his performance last night. It should be a given fact that Negredo is the better player, but regardless of that, Dzeko worked his socks off last night, he had hunger, desire, and it paid dividends in his performance. If he can keep this work rate up then it's obvious why he is a top player.

You still haven't answered about Bobby last year, 23 games started 22 as sub and pellegrini is using him as a sub more????

I don't think pre-season performances count for much, do you?

Look he did play more PL games. Anyway. For me personally Negredo is great player. I agree 100% with yours describeing of him. I do think that at least 98 % fans likes Dzeko as any other player. I dont think managers dislikes Dzeko in any way. But I DO THINK that he threw Dzeko on the bench after first bad 45 min. It was to quick and not accident. And more importantelly he did not gave him chance to shine in next 10 games. By doing so he gave other player which Dzeko is fighting for the same spot adventage of playing 10 games in a row. And IT DOES MEAN A LOT in a game of football. ( Just look at Adebayor now and under AVB ). He should gave 5 game each. And the same again. Until he found up who is better individually. Not to give one 2,5 games and other 10 most important games in a row.. It was making it easier for the second one to shine.
The presumption that Dzeko is/was only here for 18 monthes and would leave and other striker should be here for longer period of time was also wrong. If Dzeko have had great season this year he could as well sign a new contract.

The way I see it, we'll play something like 55 competitive games a season. We'll usually start with 2 strikers and have one on the bench, who will generally come on at some point. So that's a total of 165 striker appearances over a season. Even with 4 strikers, that's an average of 40 appearances each, which is pretty much the going rate for a striker.
