Edin Dzeko

Have you ever seen a more deflated player than Edin this season.
Both to blame - Mancini for his treatment and criticism of the player and Dzeko for for not wanting to ram it down his throat and prove he is a prolific goalscorer.

No way back for Edin and Roberto has perhaps one more season to prove his worth.

think they'll both be out mate. Cup or no cup. The future's lookin good. Shame about Edin though.

He is a target man (not the bruising type i.e. Carroll) who Mancini wants to play like a Tevez or Aguero.

That said he hasn't taken the chances (literally in some cases) when he has been given them.

He isn't shit because he's proven before that he is good, but he just doesn't suit the way we play.

That miss yesterday though...

ALL our strikers have to share a lot of the blame for a relatively poor season. In terms of league goals:
Dzeko 12
Aguero 11
Tevez 11

If Dzeko's return is poor (which it is for the chances he has had) then what about the other two? Aguero has only played two thirds of the season but for him that's still a poor return. Indeed yesterday he was appalling.

Non of them have had a good season. Both Dzeko and Tevez need to be replaced and Aguero needs to be given a warning. ALL OF THEM HAVE BEEN POOR.
Yep, you're right there. Only that, like you say, Aguero hasn't been able to click into gear because of injuries. Tevez got over his bad spell, but Dzeko seems to be wallowing in his.

what a load of bollocks

The last few weeks he has had plenty of time on the pitch. Don't think I've ever seen a less motivated player ever in a City shirt. His body language is awful, he wanders around the pitch not trying to get the ball when someone passes him the ball he tries to control it only for the ball to bounce off him straight to opposition player. His shooting is terrible as is his overall effort in a game.

That miss yesterday was just embarrassing for a striker to miss. The sooner he goes the better.

Thanks for the memories Edin see you later big man.

He's spot on

Out of interest, what in your mind makes it bollocks?

Always an excuse. Always other players to point at and decry how they're performing at least as poorly. Always defending his fragile psyche. If he's benched, it breaks his confidence and it's he manager's fault. If he's played a lot of minutes, he's exhausted and it's e manager's fault. The litany of players to blame for his shortcomings is endless. Balotelli... Tevez... Aguero... Silva... Play Dzeko as a target and the ball bounces 10 yards off him consistently. Pass it to him and the same result. His defenders blame a lack of crosses, but when the ball is crossed he botches that too.

On and on it goes. I guarantee if Tevez had scored 20 and Aguero 25, Dzeko's fans would be whining that he's barely had a chance and would have scored 35. Fuck off.
