Edin Dzeko

DZeko is great player who simply doesn't suit our current style of football. When new managers comes in who knows what will happen. But with our current game style we can buy someone like Lewandowski and give him Dzeko's treatment and he won't do better than Dzeko in our system

Is he playing for a starting berth next season or to get a good transfer? Either way hes looking in top form

na more direct football and there actually passing him the ball.

When will you give up mate.. so you are saying he hasn;t had the ball passed to him in the shocking displays he has put in for us last season? his touch was a disgrace, his effort a disgrace, his whingin' and throwing himself on the floor and staying there when he didn't get a free kick was a disgrace... did you actually see him live at the match?

Yes i hope IF he stays he does better of course i do, WE ALL DO ffs but please turn it in with the blind ignorance that nobody passed to him etc etc.

His touch is awful i agree but he does not get the ball service. there are many games when he is wide open but tevez or kun cba passing it to him.

What pass to him for it to bounce of his foot and go miles. He's not bad i suppose but time to get rid now it just doesn't work. Don't show me stats or anything like that, just watch the game properly and work it out.

I watched more of Edin's games (live and on TV) than most of you here (Ireland, etc.) COMBINED - and all I can say is that "ball bounces off of him for miles" and "first touch is awful" kind of statements are GARBAGE.

When you talk about first touch - all you people evaluate and stick to is the fact that Edin is not good at short passess and one-two's in tight space.

But this is a known fact - and if you think you're being genius for constantly pointing that out - you just come off as ignorant. Him being as lanky as he is doesnt help him in tight space - it's fucking natural. What many here are saying is something like "that fuck Aguero is awful in areal game". Ground-breaking by you lot, really.

His first touch in other circumstances (handling long passess, long crossess, volley, first-touch shots) - is up there with the best of them (just see kind of fucking goals he scores, eh?).

So it's really down to the system, and whether the new manager will stick to that kind of build-up. Dzeko will be even more lethal in different system, like he did in Wolfsburg and like he does for NT.

I dont think system will be changed - so Dzeko will be off. But not because he is not a great striker, or because his "first touch" is awful (what a short-sighted opinion) but because he doesnt fit.

If his "first touch" (really his play in tight space) was that bad - he wouldnt be playing for EPL champion, and he wouldnt be sought after by many managers/clubs in Europe. End of.

Edin's problems with City have not been down to a bad first touch but simply attitude and that he just hasn't seemed to put effort in consistently.I am not saying his first touch is great but it isn't that bad.I seem to recall another player at City who has legend status (quite rightly too) and he had a very dodgy first touch.None other than the goat.

When his effort and attitude is right he is top class. He scores goals anyway if given chances but he needs to consistently put full effort in and then we have a true quality player.I know the 2 games in the US were just "friendlies" but he scored 3 good goals and had at least 2 assists with good short passes.

omg look at edins first touch, it's so shit, get rid of him now:
