They're talking about sign on fee here which would make it all easier.

I listen to that bloke Honigstein a lot on ESPN , when ever they ask him for his opinion on a transfer or whether its likely to come off he plays politics and does the usual fence sitting like most journo's do when pressed.

From memory he has argued the case of about 5 transfers that he has knowledge of that are goers and none of them came to fruition.

Of course chaos theory and random sampling mean that he must get one right sooner or later but for now until Klopp does another back flip I will err on his side of the story.

-- Fri Mar 08, 2013 4:01 am --

Honigstein translated into English literally means honey rock and if you know your biblical history you what honey on the rock gives you.

Haha you are right mate. That does come out every time I use Google translate.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

@m_christenson: #Mancini talking to Gazzetta abt #Dzeko: 'A great player but with his physique he needs to play all the time. Worth more than €20m' #MCFC

Inter on Dzeko - "Dzeko is an important player for us - says Mancini - At this time we have never spoken of sales and purchases, because we still have 10 games. Then anything can happen in June, but this applies to any player. Dzeko for me is a great player, he definitely needs to play always. E 'a player who plays in Italy if more can be done over 20 goals. If worth 20 million euro? Well, maybe more. "

Which in Mancini speak is the equivalent of pinning a 'For Sale' sign on Edin's back...

Piles? To be serious both Balotelli and Dzeko should of been sold in the summer.

I would rather have my strikers assist and score goals, than show us how high they can jump, unless it was a different, individual, sport, of course. I believe Benteke and his manager would agree with me.

When you ignorantly put it that way, of course they would.

What's so ignorant about valuing strikers for their goals, midfielders for assists, defenders for tackles and goalies for clean sheets? Dzeko is our top striker in this season, yet he is judged how he walks, jumps and so on.

Mancini said many times that our strikers in total, had not scored enough goals in the season.

Tried to sell Tevez and should sell him in the summer and will listen to offers for Dzeko but lets not think selling 75 per cent of your strike force in six months is a recipe for a better return in 2012-2013 its more likely going to get worse.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

He just isn't suited to the physical side of Premier League football. Wish him all the best if he leaves in the summer no doubt he'll flourish in a league like Serie A or Bundesliga.

Because simplifying my argument down to saying all I want is to see "how high Dezko can jump" is just incredibly ignorant. I don't understand how you fail to see that, I can't put it any other way.

My argument is, do you think it's acceptable for a man of Dzeko's size (6'4") and stature to lose 70% of his arial duels in a match?
