I always ask myself would a player get into the top squads in football, i.e. Barca, Madrid, Bayern etc, that is what we should be measuring ourselves against now and in Dzeko's case it's certainly a no. His overall game just isn't up to it on a consistent basis.

That is why teams usually for the FIRST XI buy only best proven players which deserved that half year or wathever chance by their previous pedigre.

I wasn't talking to you! I was commenting on Bosnian Dragon's frankly daft opinion that Aguero was more naturally suited to a midfield link man's role, and that Negredo and Edin were better forwards. If you're gonna start shrieking away in capital letters, at least have the gumption to try and compare your posts with those that follow and work out which is being discussed!

Before Dzeko came to City , Bayern said only 2 options Dzeko or Gomez. ( they took Gomez just because he was German, and Bayern that years had more than half team of germans national players which was good for the national team - German logic ). Bayern is more than a club in Germany.
AGAIN. EVERY sources were saying about bayern wanted Dzeko. Even BILD.DE who is close to club. When thy say it it is at least 85 & - 90 % true.

Maybe he is more suited to German football in your eyes but I don't think there is much difference between that and the English league. Can you not see his overall game is not good enough, he doesn't hold the ball up well enough, he's not physical enough, his passing is poor, first touch poor, needs too many chances to score.
