Because hes shit and they were all tap ins or stray passes that fluked their way in to the goal.

Finally leaving for a proper club with big ambitions and great fans, unlike these. I was hoping he'd join Arsenal though.

Dzeko believes his performances when he has been offered an opportunity to shine justify a longer run in the side, but with Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo providing stiff competition he is often left frustrated.

The 27-year-old is prepared to remain patient, as he is tied to a contract until 2015, but admits there is no way of knowing what his long-term future will hold.

"It could be better on both sides, for me and the team, definitely," Dzeko told the Daily Mirror when asked for his assessment of the 2013/14 campaign for himself and City.

"There are a lot of players and everyone has to get a chance to play, so maybe that's why. Who knows?

"But I need to play more than I am. I've only started four games in the Premier League. But if you put me in there for 90 minutes, everything is possible.

"The first game of the season I played well, I just didn't score. The second game I scored, then the manager changed me. I don't know why.

"Then in the third game he changed me at half-time. Again, I don't know why. The team played badly in the first-half, for sure, but it's always on the strikers if it doesn't go well.

"So I think I could definitely have played more than I have done. It's difficult because you don't have a run of games, then you come into the team after maybe four games and sometimes you want to do well, but you can't do it.

"I'm still here and I still have 18 months left on my contract. But you never know what can happen in the future."
Edin Dzeko
"For three games in the Premier League I didn't play at all. That never happened last season. I didn't go three games without any minutes.

"There's Champions League and Capital One Cup also, but that's not enough for me.

"It's important to hear from the manager when you're not playing. Why are you not playing? What do you have to do better to play? So we're talking about that.

"For every striker it's important to play 90 minutes, not 45, then 50, then maybe 15, you know? But I'm still here and I still have 18 months left on my contract. But you never know what can happen in the future."
This little inept parasite fuck needs to keep his fucking gob shut.

"Again, I don't know why."
Hahaha you may not, but what you DO KNOW is what you're doing by coming out with these quotes. I see you now also know how to make a supporter's blood boil—well actually I guess that may not be new ;).

You aren't entitled to shit but your pay cheque. The manager is the decision maker and he doesn't have to tell you shit.

Don't go crying to the media like a little bitch because you don't have the fucking spine to knock on your manager's door.

Ungrateful overpaid fuck should be lapping up every minute he can actually get like a thirsty dog.

"You want to do well, but you can't do it." Can't? Really? CAN'T? Spotlight's back on his weak mentality.

Glad to see him paving his own exit and reminding potential suitors of his existence.

P.S. Edin: Everyone knows "why."

Yeah, every club got the manager who make final decisions. Manager is there to communicate to all players because communication is the key for success. We all know RM was very weak in man management and he did not know how to address issues and concerns to all players. I hope MP is not RM so we all should expect him to treat everybody at the same level.

ED is a nice bloke and everybody seems to use that fact to take advantage over him. He realized he was told fairytale before this season and the real plan was to warm the f. bench while new signings playing in the first 11.

He needs to be bad boy everywhere, dressing room, on and off the pitch, while talking to the media, even when he sleeps :).

Again, hope he doesn't even make to the bench today. Why? We got Guidetti, he'll be fine there.

Highest scoring duo of all time. He was also two times Bundesliga player of the year. Back when Dzeko used to play football he was quite good.
You sure?

Regardless, unless someone's won it the most times then it's not a record is it. Great joint effort with Grafite though, that's some accomplishment.
2 times Bundesliga Players' Footballer of the Year award. Voted by the players.
Won it in 2008/09, don't see a second.

Yea, I was thinking to myself that Dzeko is like a bosnian version of andy carroll as they are so similar with style and ability, but carroll lacks the arrogance and selfishness of dzeko so I'd say you're probably closer to the truth with adebayor, though ade posesses more ability

How about the Bosnian Marco Van Basten

OK LETS MAKE THINGS SIMPLE

When City bought Dzeko he was one of TOP 10 STRIKERS IN THE WORLD ( wanted by half of Europe best teams ). City had ofered him and the club 10/15 % bigger money and Dzeko did not want to wait for summer transfer and he forced his JAN. move to City.
The minimum of the minumum requirement for such a player to be happy ( and play good ) is for him to be equaly rotated as a second striker. That means the same or similar amount of LEAGUE GAMES not Carling cups. If any player of such reputation would not get that will want to leave. Pellegrini gave Negredo 5 STARTS ( Man united, Aston Villa, Everton, West Ham and Norwich ) in PL and 2 STARTS aginst CSKA in a row.
Sory my friends it is not ROTATION. Pellegrini even said in pre CSKA interview that he changed Negredo on the half time with Dzeko just to REST HIM ( ?? ). Is this a way for Dzeko to be motivated. Pellegrini basicaly forced Dzeko in his moves, ....

Dzeko past accomplishments are inded huge ( Bundes liga TOP scorer, Bundes liga player of the year by players, Bundesliga champion with Wolfsburg in front of worlds top 5 team Bayern, Dortmund, .., Bundesliga BEST STRIKING duo of all times with Grafite, Biggest transfer out of bundesliga ever, Wolfsburg best player of all times voted by fans, Only City player to score 4 at away game, Best scorer and second best scorer at world/euro qualifayers, BEST TEAM OF EUROPE in CURRENT Qualifayers HE and van Persie were voted as best sriker duo, .... ). I know that he is not curently that good, but it DOES show his limitations, how good he can be and will be ( to all the haters ).
Give it up Zlatan.

He won the Bosnian player of the year twice.
2008 was Ribery
2009 was Grafite

Perhaps noise is confusing Bosnian Player of the Year with the Bundesliga equivalent.

Players player of the year is a different award altogether.

Kompany won the Premier League's player of the year in 2011/12 but RVP won the PFA player of the year that season as well.

He won the players player of the year once, not Bundesliga player of the year twice. Bit of a difference to be fair.

As usual, the most hilarious and depressing thread on the site.

To begin with, Negredo has been extremely good and nothing can be said against him starting games.

However, to think that Dzeko's record this season warrants the unbelievable abuse and deadpan derision from the fans of his own team just boggles the mind. Particularly with regard to the hysterical fear against Dzeko playing in the league.

Let's recap his league form (which seems oddly thin on minutes given the actual production):

Game 1: two assists, arguably MOM against Arsenal.
Game 2: scored a goal, taken out after 67 mins.
Game 3: played one half, no goal/assist.
Game 4: did not feature.
Game 5: played 16 mins.
Game 6: scored, played 74 minutes.
Game 7: did not feature.
Game 8: did not feature.
Game 9: did not feature.
Game 10: scored, played one half.

How horrible.

Minutes per goal:
AGUERO: 84 (unbelievable)
DZEKO: 112 (very good)
NEGREDO: 135 (very good)

What an excellent post byronic. I find the abuse directed at Edin very sad when you consider what he has achieved for us, turning the game against QPR to win us the league, I mean it's not like we win the league every year. Admittedly Negredo and Aguerro are playing superb but that only serves to increase the digs at Dzeko. I've been watching City for over 50 years and sadly have witnessed other blues suffer very similar abuse such as -

Joe Corrigan
Tony Towers
Ian Bowyer
Colin Barratt
Paul Power
even Shaun Goater in his early days

Mind you several of them left us to go on to better things with several winning the European Cup.

I'd say your "win the league" posts start the cycle of this thread over again each time.

Internet hooligans mate. Luckily Dzeko's recieving more than enough support from the stands.

I just wonder what will happen today if Aguero&Negredo could not score till 75 min.

I could have swore it was twice. I stand corrected. He won it once, has the all time record for highest scoring duo, and is a ballon d'or shortlister. No surprise Klopp fancies him
