EFL Cup - 3rd Round Draw (WBA away)

The last time the top 6 drawn against teams outside the Prem and the Championship

United - Wigan (h) Jan 2017
Chelsea - Peterborough (h) Jan 2017
Arsenal - Lincoln (h) Mar 2017
Liverpool - Plymouth (h) Jan 2017
Tottenham - Millwall (h) Mar 2017

City - Notts County (a) Jan 2011

Now take that and throw in the likelihood of 11 consecutive away draws (0.5x0.5x0.5etc for around 0.0004% or a 1/2048 chance) and it's no longer statistically viable to be considered a coincidence.

But no, it's only referees who are bent. Oh and I guess there's been arrests for corruption in football's governing bodies too. That's also coincidence though.

Now what time is that United/Burton Albion blockbuster on?

And don't forget last night's draw was just 50/50 home or away, not related to any previous draw. A coin toss nothing more. Jesus.

Log out and don't log back in until you've flipped a coin and made it land Heads 11 times in a row.

11 in a row. Eleven.
without a doubt probability dictates that it is possible for such a coincidence to occur,
after all, that's why we call things coincidences.

however,
if playing roulette, would you bet on red 11 times in a row?
of course you wouldn't.
unless, that is,
you knew the owner of the casino & had been told which table to sit at and at what time.

where there is money there is corruption.
anyone denying this fact is blinkered to history.

eleven times in a row is just wrong.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say good luck Tonster. Keep at it and if you are lucky enough I might see you on here again in about 10 years

what would you say is still viable for coincidence?

Gerrard. Wright & Lampard have done the draws too.

Are you honestly saying the FA approach these players and say "Look we have to stop City at all cost, Theres a few grand in an envelope and make sure you draw the hot ball out. Which will be Citys"

How about any of those players or any of the folk involved being a Whistleblower.

They'd make fuckin millions. As this would be the biggest story of corruption in the Worlds most watched league. The impact would be staggering. Prison sentences would involved.

And all that just so they want city to have an away match.

Edit.

Frank was thinking the same.

Its like 1984 in here sometimes. Glad your throwing a bit of sense into the debate.

And boy isn't there some money worth risking in rigging the 3rd round of the Carabao fucking cup? ffs have a think about it

I've not read all the thread so don't know if it's been explained but if we were first out of the bag why are we away?
