That's a myth.
He had a terrible dip in form that went on for months and he was clearly unhappy not to be starting every week. (Have you ever had a bad spell at golf/tennis/footy whatever? It happens.)
It's plain to see how hard he worked to get back to his best, knuckling down under the Hughes training regime which clearly was initially a problem for him. Anyway, knuckle down he did and he has got is form back. For the last 10 games he's been terrific and man of the match on more than 1 occassion. Arguably he's been our best player for the past couple of months.
Letting him go now is madness. See how it works out with him feeding Adebayor and Tevez etc and if it really doesn't work then see about letting him go in January or next summer... but not now.
