Here's a thought, maybe some fans with season tickets in the North Stand walk round to the singing section and stand with mates or to sing?

Why? What's that got to do with empty seats? Surely it would create more.

No, what I'm saying is some of the existing empty seats could be due to fans standing elsewhere.

If football fans were allowed to be adults and were treated the same as rugger fans then the seats would be fuller before KO, there wouldnt be a mass exit 5 mins before HT and the seats still empty 5 mins after HT. Just buy 4 pints before KO, take to seat and no need to move until FT

And it would be a lot easier to sell out the Champs League games! Where we can't get a pint in the ground at all!

The touts were busy against burnley - in fact they were struggling to find tickets to buy. It is a bit crap that people with season tickets are leaving seats empty! Having said that I have one on level 3 but I have found a seat in the disabled action with a great view on level 2 which is always empty so I just sit in that as it has lots of legroom and space.

Trying to buy tickets on the site for the upcoming FA cup game on my mobile and it's pretty much impossible. Every time I try and enter my quantities of tickets in the box it takes it back to Zero. So maybe that's why we have empty seats, because buying tickets is frikkin impossible !!!

I gave up trying

Can I give my situation and see what you think of it?

Me my dad and brother, 3 season tickets since Maine road, 3 year ago at renewal stage my dad getting older can't afford to renew or can't commit to every game, and my brother 28 married just bought house also can't afford it. The thought of my dad missing the good years after paying for me and my brother as kids breaks your heart, and wether you like it or not, when the big games come round I can guarantee them a seat to see us lift the trophies so I took on all 3 season cards, and mix it about, I let my dad and brother have first refusal on the games, or I take my gf, or take my pals. But there have been games where no one can make it and not just for the poor teams! Last year I had spares for United and arsenal, this year Chelsea, obviously no problems selling these. But I really have struggled selling tickets this year and well under face value, I had no takers for Stoke, palace, Everton and Swansea, and went as low as 20quid. Listed them on here or the twitter exchange or Facebook site. My singles never sell on viagogo and I list them as low as it lets you.

Should I be giving these season cards up in your opinion?

I hope you can carry on with the seasoncards. With the price of match-day tickets it would be hard to keep going if you had to give them up. I don't think it will get any easier to sell the spares with the extra seats coming online next season.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what you are doing IMO.

Empty seats is all they have left to bait us with and it's rubbish

Take a look at Old Trafford or the Emirates next time they play. You'll see the odd pocket of empty seats all over.

Not sure if this has been mentioned and I missed it but I saw a message at the last match which said everyone attending today would get an extra 20 points. I presume they will do that by checking the electronic info at the turnstile.

Great idea and if done regularly that will help stop those that buy a season ticket just for the 'big' games.

Maybe even take away the renewal points if a certain number of games haven't been attended.

It'd be a compromise to the Bayern idea which people have been suggesting, in my opinion it wouldn't be wise to start kicking people out of their seats as there's no way we'd be able to sell out at 55k.
