That fucking Family Stand and relocating all those fans that were there before is the worst thing this club has done since the takeover.

Absolutely abysmal idea!
Yet another dig at the family stand ! Those kids are the future of city and both yourself and city want to get rid of them .said it before quite happy to bring the kids up and have them run round the hardcore stand up armfolder ultras in the south stand.just think we could start a new thread why are there empty seats in the south stand on a school night !!!
It's another dig because there are more empty seats in that area of the ground than anywhere else. I've got mates who have been priced out of their seasoncards, i have family members who've looked at getting tickets for some games only for the game to be listed as "SOLD OUT". Yet there are more seats empty in the Family Stand than any other area of the ground. There are certain seats that never seem to have anyone in them.

There might well be empty seats in the SSs but there are only odd ones.

The two standing areas are the most full sections of the ground for all games and are the most full sections of the ground come the final whistle of all games. I don't even stand in either of those areas.
If you have read any of this thread you will know the empty blocks of seats are CITY seats amongst other things .once a seat is sold they carnt re sell it .add to the mix kids young families working shifts etc and the total waste of time to upgrade kids tickets .put them in one place and you will always have more empties than in other areas

I appreciate this won't go down well with some folk on here, but I would relocate the Family Stand to the 3rd level of the North Stand when it's buil(empty seats wouldn't be as visible on the TV), and turn the full bottom tier of the North Stand into a singing section. Our own end.

Tin hat is going on now. :-)

Would be a good idea only they couldnt see the fat geordie bloke, or the away fan in a pink shirt to abuse.

You are entitled to your opinion but one of the attractions of having the kids low down is they can actually see the players and make out who they are and being behind the goals I think it builds on their match day experience when we score.my kids and myself being honest would not want to watch the lovely positional play that our unrecognized hero's create.and just a personal view if we were offered level 3 for free I think we would jack it in .it just feels so detached up there .but each to their own

I'm a City fan folks! I've had a season ticket for 8 years. I turn up, support the team and leave after the whistle. I'm old fashioned. I agree with what people are saying for and against. Yes you have the right to either not turn up or leave ten mins from the end. And you're absolutely correct, it's none of my business what people do. But debate is good, I like to hear what others think/know. I've learned a bit from the thread. I have an opinion and it's changed slightly with some of the feedback. A solution by the club would be good, however most don't think it's a problem so will stay as it is then.

One posted said it's a myth over 16's are turfed out. The T&C of Family Stand tickets might be relaxed but I read this:

3.8. In respect of the sale and purchase of tickets in the Family Stand, tickets must be bundled in a way which
conforms to the MCFC Family Stand purchasing policy in place from time to time (i.e. a minimum of 1
child ticket with up to 3 adult tickets).

I agree with one poster about the ticket exchange problem. Is there a limit for how many you can put on in a season?
The T&C for Exchange are an eye-opener - see the bits in bold:

For information purposes only, at the date of publication of these Seasoncard T&Cs, it is anticipated
that:
a) tickets sold through the Exchange may be sold at between 90% and 150% of the published Adult
matchday price for the relevant Premier League Match*;

b) Sellers will receive 100% of the price at which a ticket is sold less 10% commission (plus any
applicable VAT payable on the commission), payable to the Ticket Exchange Partner**;
c) Purchasers will pay stated ticket price, 15% commission (plus any applicable VAT payable on the
commission) and fulfilment charge; and
*with the exception of Junior Platinum Seasoncard Holder tickets in the Family Stand, which may be sold
at between 90% and 150% of the published Junior matchday price

Okay then. My mate (a Rotherham United fan) and his partner (a City fan) had purchased tickets in the Colin Bell Level One for the Wednesday game. This morning they have received notice that the tickets have been cancelled. Obviously the assumption was as he has a South Yorkshire post code and Sheffield Wednesday have 'sold out' the South Stand then MCFC are concerned that Wednesday fans are trying to get tickets in the home sections. However they have previous purchasing history having attended Champions League games and ordering items from the website and surely City must have other fans with South Yorkshire postal codes?

Surely he'll have ticket history from that address? If not, you can see why they might think it a little funny that we draw Sheff Weds with away allocation sold out and Yorkshire post codes start buying tickets.

The penny has only just dropped.

Just been on the OS and the Sunderland match still isn't sold out. There's only a few seats left in a few blocks. Most blocks are sold out. But there still isn't a link to Viagogo and the tickets they've bought off City. The link must only kick in when the OS states match sold out.

I've just gone on the Viagogo site and they still have *431* seats for sale over *20 pages*. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.viagogo.co.uk/mcfc/Sports-Tickets/Football/Barclays-Premier-League/Manchester-City-Tickets/E-670759" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.viagogo.co.uk/mcfc/Sports-Ti ... s/E-670759</a>

So before no shows(not having a go at them) tomorrow, there will be over 400 empty seats which Viagogo have either bought off City, or from fans who are trying to sell their seats via viagogo.

That's potty. Explains why there are so many empty seats. Once again, I assume the club isn't arsed about empty seats as they've got their money off the fans and Viagogo already for those seats. Only the fans and viagogo will lose out.

I honestly don't know what Viagogo are getting out of this sponsorship deal with City. Are they actually making any serious money over the season?

Having tried to buy and shift tickets myself don't have a problem paying a small premium to save the hassle of handing over a ticket and have it loaded onto a membership card .don't have any problem people asking £100+ good luck to em if they think they are going to sell.but what I carnt get my head round is once the games sold out why you can't price your ticket at £5 if you want and stand a chance of shifting it

Tried to sell a ticket once. Viagogo set the price. More expensive than their tickets. It never sold. Surprise!

The last time we went in the family stand and got seats in the front row just to the right of the goal and my youngest was really excited to be so close to the players . Untill he was told to seat down than he couldnt see over the advertising boards. I thought he was kidding when he told me so i lowered myself down to his eye level and he was right i couldnt see the match just some heads moving around !. So he spent the whole match standing (he was 10yrs old). Does seem odd to have a family stand were the kids at the front cant see over the advertising boards .
I thought City could have told us you need to be a certain height to see over the boards,
