Hold on. He does need to be perfect in this position as we are talking about a proper centre half and not a replacement shoe horned in like Delph. Sure he is playing well at the moment but don't think for one minute he would be there when Mendy is fully fit.

Can looks interested in 1 in 10 games and no amount of fucking spreadsheets, FIFA stats or youtube clips will change that. Not good enough. Move on.

I remember Kompany was Defensive midfielder, as well as Mascherano and look how they turned out at the end.

In Kompany we bought potential, in Mascerano he was & still is just an international class destroyer. I think it's a stretch to call him world class in respect to DM or CB.
 
If we're lowering the bar, then sure. But why waste a roster spot on someone who isn't good enough in such a vital position.
 
23 years old so there's much room for improvement, a good passing range, scores goals, has the much needed height for set piece situations, has PL experience, goes in for a tackle every now and then and would be a free signing, I don't see what the problem is here.

That's gotta be some sot of record. I mean, anything over 95% would be pretty damn fantastic. But a perfect 100%?
