I agree with this but sadly, unless we are going to write off this season to rebuild and give these players game time in the first team to develop then we're caught between a rock and a hard place... Right now we need proven players i.e those who have shown they have what it takes...

Ive heard bullying mentioned on this thread and also Garcia referred to as a kid... Bullying is wrong in any environment but "kid"? the lad has been in the game for years and commands a salary I'd have dreamt of when I was working so if he deserves people telling it how it is then that's fine by me...
 
Well Barca just spent 21m on Sergino Dest who is no more experienced and not from their vaunted, infallible youth setup so surely they'll be able to find the cash for Garcia now right?

The different with Dest is that Barca couldn't have him sign a contract in 3 months time to join as a free agent next season.

Barca have just as much leverage as us in this situation (if not more), as much as people here don't think that is the case.

We absolutely should be negotiating for more than the £8m that has been offered, but the club are deluded if they think we are getting £25m for him with 9 months left on his contract.
 
was watching barca's game and the commentators really seem to reflect some sort of belief at barca that eric garcia is going to fix their defense

Surely they can't believe that?

I shall make an exception in your case though. You read comments and decide what you thought they meant. You then correct their opinions to support what you think is an acceptable “vanilla” bland stance. I simply said that I understand Garcia’s wish to return to his home city but if you treat Manchester City like Barcelona finishing school, he should expect some negativity.

Whatever my opinions are of Eric Garcia, I assure you they are far more favourable than of your average woke, keyboard SJW like you. I despise everything about you. I guess I should have checked your age with you to find out if it’s ok for me to have that opinion? Am I right? :)

I like a lot of what you say on other topics but, on this one, I've had to pipe up because IMO you're too hard on the lad and all it does is act as a call to arms for those who can't let go gracefully.

Anyhow, we've both made our opinions clear, so there's nothing to have a barney about and I won't be shy about tipping you a like on another subject if I'm impressed with your patter, as I sometimes am.
