Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

Most of our fans aren’t that passionate any more. We’ve showed tremendous loyalty over the years and love the club but we aren’t very loud.

The game sold out on match day and the ticket prices were fairly reasonable. We are running out of excuses.

We could be more unified as a fan base and I can’t understand why everyone doesn’t join the OSC or 1894.
Supporters clubs are for out of town / out of the country fans. Serve no purpose for match going local supporters.

Utter bollox, I’m a member of Stretford and Urmston OSC, many members go to all home and away games. Average age of the members is probably 50, like me many have been following City since the 60’ and 70’s.
The supporters club makes life simple, club double decker to the Etihad every game, assistance with ticket purchases where available, travel to away games arranged when enough want to travel, Wembley for example. So they serve no purpose do they?!

What rubbish about our fans not being “passionate”. Some games are bigger than others but that’s the same for all clubs. We make plenty of noise on the big occasions.

And some of us don’t need to join clubs to demonstrate our support. You’re one step away from the “this means more” scouse bullshit to be honest and you can fuck off with that. Most Liverpool fans I know are half-interested armchair plastics. Most blues I know love the club from the bottom of their hearts.
Lol keyboard warrior Dave.

Last night was the biggest rivalry in English football atm. As I said, our fans love our club but many aren’t passionate enough to find out the words to our songs, beyond a few classics. Each to their own and how people support the lads is up to them. It’s great to be a Blue.

Well said Stretford Born Blue. I’m from Henshaw St. but have lived in Leeds a long time and run an OSC Branch in Yorkshire.

The hard work of many Branches has helped to turn many areas from solid red to Blue. Branches work hard to build up support and share travel arrangements and costs like you say. The OSC also helps to fund CITC, Maine Road FC and provided lorry loads of aid to Ukraine.

Likewise 1894 do a fantastic job and we probably wouldn’t have an atmosphere to build on without those guys.

This means more to you, Tim, clearly. Did you wear a full kit and that?

Lol. That’s why there are so many Branches around Manchester. I chatted to a lad from Ashton who set up a Branch. He said there were only a dozen or so match going regulars at the start and that grew to hundreds.

I'm no longer a member of Reddish blues but when I was they did a lot and helped with travel to aways etc . Also a good way of making friends that are blues and making connections of all sorts.

Charity work with guide dogs for the blind was sterling work too.

I just wanted to make my own way to Wembley etc in the end. Age related probably and the fact I've jacked in the booze.

good lads and lasses at Reddish Blues.
