Looked and sounded great on telly. The place seemed rammed out and somehow had the air of an old stadium.
I used to travel away a lot with Stretford and Urmston and catch the double decker when it left from the Robin Hood. Done a couple of aways with Didsbury supporters club as well. Both are as dedicated and passionate supporters you could wish to meet. I bet the the other supporters clubs are the the sameUtter bollox, I’m a member of Stretford and Urmston OSC, many members go to all home and away games. Average age of the members is probably 50, like me many have been following City since the 60’ and 70’s.
The supporters club makes life simple, club double decker to the Etihad every game, assistance with ticket purchases where available, travel to away games arranged when enough want to travel, Wembley for example. So they serve no purpose do they?!
I’ve already got one from your mate with all the Bolton songs on them. Sorry for triggering you with the Edin Dzeko song comment but it’s one of my favourites. You’ll Never Walk Alone
That should get you started.
I concur re 113. Helped that me & my son are vocal and we had 4/5 lads behind us similar.I was in 113 and thought the whole corner of the south stand was good
Love the username ;)Supporters clubs are for out of town / out of the country fans. Serve no purpose for match going local supporters.
We aren’t passionate any more. See above. This means less to us.Looked and sounded great on telly. The place seemed rammed out and somehow had the air of an old stadium.
Spot on DGTim’s right about our fans not being very passionate anymore. Sure we can rouse ourselves for the big occasions but our default setting is pretty flat these days.
It’s an age thing of course. A huge block of our regular match going support are in their mid 40s and older. People can insist all they want that they’re just as passionate now as ever but they’re not. Nobody fucks their mrs the same now as they did in their early 20s, nobody fights the same, nobody has nights out the same - time takes the fire out of your belly.
The young uns in the south stand are brilliant and we need more of them.
