So looks like we've lost less than 1000 seats whilst the work is going on

Ground Capacity at start of the Season
46,708

Down from

officially a loss of 697 seats during the construction... that includes

I wish I had the time to trawl through the pages and I know that Asda are moving, but the bloke who was doing the tour today (I took a Japanese student staying with us, and yes he has been converted!!) said that we had bought them out and it was going to be a hotel and casino...anyone else heard that? I've read many times that we won't be opening a casino on the collar site, but not this...also that the new site isn't going to open until November 1st.
Interesting :-)

It's been demonstrated beyond any doubt that what happened at Hillsborough was not caused by standing.

That really isn't the point. Do you think a politician is going to stand up and make that argument? It is exactly how it will be portrayed in the media by opponents of it, and no one is going to take the risk of something going wrong for unrelated reasons and being held responsible for it.

As for the Lib Dems putting in a manifesto, it means nothing at all. Even if by some miracle they became the government they still wouldn't do it for those reasons. Governments do not act on every element of their manifesto and never have.

Might be a bit of a weird question, but did your Japanese student go to the Liverpool game, in the first row of SS/CB lvl1 corner? Was standing next to a Japenese student who just arrived in Manchester at that game, got chattin to him, he was quality.

Yeah, I heard that about ASDA, apparently we've made a few offers to them over the last couple of years and they finally agreed subject to them finding a new location (one possibility being a Unit on the Ancoat's retail park near Argos) - ASDA obviously have to plan to relocate staff etc and that's where the info has come from.

Come on chaps. This thread is all about the redevelopment of the Etihad and the academy. You are all getting side tracked by the politics of standing areas. Although this subject is very slightly relative to the future of the stadium, it is not remotely relevant to what's going on now. I want pictures of the development and discussion about that. Not speculation about standing areas. That belongs on a separate thread.

Go read the thread then.

Apparently there's a Soccer Exhibition on at the stadium this weekend.

Staff at Asda have had a meeting to dispel any rumours of a sale to City.
Let's hope none of them reads Bluemoon then and finds out the truth.

Their delivery drivers have been told they are moving. My best mate said so. He is relocating to a delivery depot in Cumbria within 6 months!

You'll have to go some to beat out new training academy.

No doubt you also wanted to look at out training academy, but we probably told you where to go after your silly threats a while back.

Al Khelaifi: 'Construct a big club'

Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al Khelaifi spoke to the French media this week, and discussed the club's strategies and ambitions...

THE FUTURE TRAINING CENTRE:
"That's my project. It really means a lot to me. We are looking at three sites and before the end of the year, we will choose one. I don't want to make a mistake, because it's a very important choice for the future of the club. I have looked at other centres around the world, in Madrid, Barcelona... I want to build the best training centre in the world because Paris deserves it." http://www.psg.fr/en/News/003001/Articl ... a-big-club
