Sorry if this has been asked before, but will the work affect the attendance next season. If not, how are they going to do the work and still keep the stand usable?

Yes it's been asked before, no it won't a few seat affected but not many. The majority of the construction is external around the current structure with the two close seasons used to do the internal work During next close season the current roof is removed Check back in this tread for the schedule of work and the OS for a video of the planned work

Such great pictures.

It's amazing to see the improvements since I left East Manchester only two and a half weeks ago, it is moving SO QUICKLY!
As I have now emigrated to Australia, I can this thread, and the photos jrb and others upload, being an integral part of my web browsing.

I would like to thank all in advance, for the work they do in making this thread one of the best on bluemoon. :)

Would that be at the nearby National BMX Centre?

You can do it there - but they do also have a programme to use the whole Etihad Campus on selected days once the site opens fully - a kind of freestyling open arena ;)

That looks like the model for the larger stadium, 80k planned for the Olympics and downsized for 2002.

Cant se all details though as I'm not on my Mac.

I think you're right . We'd have a 100k stadium now if they'd built that and then we'd dug down for the lower tier.

Thats definitely the one that used to housed in Churchgate House ( iirc ) on Oxford Street when the Olympic bid was still live.

Probably not that much. Few of us have wives that would allow it in the house; even few have anywhere to display it. Surprised the NFM don't want it.

It's more of an architects' initial sketch model than a finished, refined model. I wouldn't pay top dollar for it.
