Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

They were painting the floor of the bridge when I drove past about an hour ago. Sat at the lights waiting to see if one of them lifted his brush up to see what the colour was, to no avail. My money is on white although it could be blue same as Joe Mercer Way. There is now a continuous run of steelworks around most of the outside of the South Stand.

Had a mosey round the south stand yesterday afternoon and loads of steel work has gone up, the two original frames are connected to each other and at the west stand corner the section that curves round towards the corner is also connected. Looking at the height of the frame work considering the terrace and roof have still to go on the whole stand is going to be huge I sould guess at nearly three times the height of the current stand. Once the north stand is also completed the stadium is going to awesome both inside and out

What about the glass hammer, or the left handed sweeping brush for tidying up afterwards.

None available due to new restrictions on trade following the 98% yes vote in the Scottish Haggis Bake Off

Why would we use Tartan paint? We're not in Scotland are we?

An homage to Dennis Law's back heal possibly? ;)

I dunno what all the fuss is about. We can't fill our ground. The floodlights need to be placed higher.

If Phones4U do go bump, we should be all over it like white on rice.

They currently sponsor the concert arena and it would seem a decent opportunity to get something for such a small outlay?

The Manchester City Arena or the Etihad Arena?

The arena will remain the P4U... I work there and we've been told the contract will just run out and there may not be any immediate name change that we are aware of.... the Etihad area has a nice ring to it,

As others have said the contract probably means the name remains the same for now can't see the arena wanting to adopt Citys name when it does eventually change as would alienate too many locals who claim to support other teams especially with alternative venues close by often showing the same concert. Etihad Arena would sound good though.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

Why would City want to sponsor the arena? No logic in that. And why should we care who Etihad sponsor? They are not City.

The new Six Form looks very impressive close-up. Amazing to think there are 350 students already in there. The landscaping is now going on and the new trees look really well.

As the Leisure Centre will be ready by the end of October, anyone know what will happen to the now closed Police Station. It's in a prime site looking over towards the College and Leisure Centre. There must be plans for it?

Possibly going to be refurbished as an office complex, they've just finished filming Scott and Bailey there .
