I still think City are missing a trick not having those fosters bottle bins in the additional space behind the south stand...they would make an absolute killing...it's currently just an empty space...what's the point?!

I think the police, stewards don't want to see loads of people absolutely caned during the game. One more officer required because of trouble would wipe out the profit of a few more pints.

The club have to strike a balance between customer service (ie. Getting a pint promptly at half time so you don't have to neck it) and the increased risk of potential crowd problems.

The half time pint problem isn't a new one. Unfortunately I think it's one the club don't want to solve

Irony that they are playing an advert for multi pourers on the TV screen on the concourse and 10 feet below are the bars which don't have them

Any news on when the north stand will be expanded?
Going on the timeline for the South Stand expansion, work began in March 2014 to be ready for 2015 /2016 season
If the North Stand is going to be expanded for 2017/2018 then you would think they would start work in March 2016 ?

Given l the concerts planned for this Summer I can't see that happening.

No reason why not we had concerts in the first summer of the South stand expansion as most of the initial work happens outside the stadium at the back of the existing stand.

Not correct I am afraid. Scotland's GVA (the subnational contribution to GDP) is around £117 billion, while Greater Manchester's is about £56 billion.

Took my info from an article in the business section of the Telegraph and that was a quote from Clydesdale Bank who want to expand beyond their traditional market. It's not without foundation.

My data is from the Office for National Statistics, but I hadn't appreciated that they have updated their data (for 2014) in the past few days. The figures are:

GM: £57.4bn
Scotland: £123.5bn

The data is all here: http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/publications/re-reference-tables.html?edition=tcm:77-388336

Do you know which bit of land will the ice rink go on?

Yea that's how I see it. Some big hitters in June with the Roses, AC/DC and the lesser coldplay playing there in the space of 3 weeks or so
Not a clue, a bunch of Storm fans were chatting to my brother about it last week, as something Storm have debated in fan forums - and are looking into for certain.

Maybe a Storm forum is available online

new corporate survey City have sent out made me think of this thread, City proposing following new options:

Family Restaurant: With video games for older children, a creche for 3-6 year olds w/dedicated play area, seats in the family stand and shopping experiences for family members who don't want to watch football. Included in this would be a "food court", wherever they would fit that.

Team Talks: Industry expert led talks (ie. like a Ted Talks but by Ferran) for hospitality members, pre-match every game w/networking.

Inside City: dinner at City, private box meeting player of choice, photo pitchside, tour of the CFA including the boardroom, limousine service.

City football team experience: Day spent training at the Etihad Campus w/City coaches, includes pre & post-"match" meal, optional CFA hotel stay.

More than just football: Skills workshops inc. cookery masterclass to achieve a PL diet, wine tasting, fitness coaching and a Paul Hollywood baking masterclass. Morning workshop, then the match and then 3-course dinner.

The Tunnel Club: View of the tunnel pre-match (basically tunnel cam in the flesh), pre-match Brian Kidd briefing, premium dining, networking area, half-way line seating, limousine service and CL game travel.

Flex-Pass: Offers you access to different hospitality suites over the season, not restricting you to one suite so you can change based upon the clientele you are bringing to the game.

Have they named the new Building next to the Anna Connell Sixth Form after Manuel? Drove past yesterday and saw the sign MP...
