Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Peel seem to be hoovering everything up for Trafford City. Another first leisure destination in the UK. This would have been great for the Etihad Campus/Collar site, amongst other possible leisure attractions.

From the planning application. Link below. Also PNW article link below.

If the Etihad Campus/Collar Site ends up anything like Wembley Park, I will jump off the top of the Etihad stadium.

Wembley Park is absolutely dreadful. The architecture, the various mish-mash buildings, the bland and boring high street food, drink and leisure chain offering, etc. It’s a perfect example of how to f*ck up a once in a lifetime blank canvas around the an equally dreadful Wembley stadium. Throw as much sh*t up as you can, and as quickly as you can.

The best aerial Picture I could find that shows Wembley Park in all of it’s dreadful glory.

Not been in a box at the Etihad but have seen a few on videos etc, what’s to stop us converting some to include bedrooms? It would certainly bridge the gap until there are a few hotels built, up & running. The real old Trafford has had great success with rooms overlooking the pitch, even in the off season & non match days
Sherry ??

Sherry ??
Only in a trifle, sherry is for old farts & Father Christmas. You don’t think it’s possible or that the club have even considered it? or that the concept may form part of a NS extension? Bet you dismissed the notion of the tunnel club or the potential of a sky bar in the NS as poppycock

There aren’t close to enough unused boxes to make that visible. Might as well just wait 2-3 years for the hotel to be finished.

Having bedrooms overlooking the pitch at the swamp would be really popular, as their
" supporters " could snooze through the shite regularly served up by the rag twats.

Would help those long-distance fans suffering from jet lag too.

The original proposal for the expansions included even further extra seats on the edges of the side third tiers. We ended up with a small block on the south end of ES and CB level 3 but here you can see that these small additions curved around a bit more when first shown off.

Isn't the SE corner taken up by that "Pub" now. They'll all be given Corporate identities
