Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

See how it can simply brighten up an area? They also need to regularly maintain it though as well! Lol

The CFG is testament to that. Bar the green football pitches there are trees, planting and landscaping across the whole site including around the mini Etihad.

Compare that to the grey and austere Etihad stadium and campus across the road.

Hopefully the transformation will be done when the expansion and new plans for the city square hotel etc happen. Hopefully early January for the plans to be made public as I’m sure the proposals will have been drawn up for quite a while?

Maybe, somewhere on the campus, there should be one of those fenced-in all-weather pitches for the local kids. It could serve a dual purpose on match days, as friendly fans could play a five-a-side on it. Imagine welcoming our dear friends from Liverpool for a pleasant kickabout at say, 12-00 noon before the 3-00 KO of the match. It would help foster those friendly relationships that the club would like.
