That would be a substantial restriction on trade.

In reality, any kick off from 3pm onwards will mean people are trying to leave the game at the same time people are arriving, but 5.30 on a Saturday in particular will be bad. Obviously a night match where everyone is arriving and leaving at the same time is worst case scenario.

It's chaos already, it's going to be awful. I don't see an obvious solution. People will be leaving at half time.

215 blank nights for the first years, there will be less than 70 days where we can have Tuesdays and Wednesdays matches when you take into account internationals and summer.

Well it appears the co-op live and city planning teams aren't as joined up as i expected, Take That announced for 7/8th May 2024, the same dates as the Champions League semi 2nd leg - hopefully its something we have to worry about nearer the time.

3pm kick off for football car park full,
concert in the evening, where do they park,
lots turn up to concerts early to get a meal food etc,
just doesn't add up to me, there's no way there will never be any clashes,

Something has to be put in place for those with mobility issues without a doubt. Most City fans will have to walk from town as usual. The quickest walking route (following the tram tracks back to town) needs huge improvement with lighting etc. We need later and more reliable trains from Pic and Vic to outlying areas. Shuttle buses would help as well.

Amsterdam ArenA and Ziggo Dome are on the same site and frequently have the same egress times (night game with night concert) and the process is seamless. Albeit it with a greater use of public transport and having public transport that is adequately funded.

A big concert and match with our new capacity will mean almost 90000 people in one area with just one tram line. The police will block it on safety grounds. Wembley has four tube stations with different lines and a major railway network plus hundreds of local buses. Major changes will have to be made in Manchester.

It's going to be absolutely carnage.
Stopping cars parking anywhere near the ground, only one tram link. Trains that are hit and miss. Unless they seriously upgrade the transport infrastructure, it's going to be madness. All they've come out with is let's all walk from Piccadilly, err nope.

Amsterdam’s Metropolitan area (~2.4m) has a smaller population than the Manchester’s Metro area (~2.8m). Yet Amsterdam has more than double the amount of capacity for passenger journeys on their Metro system (~110m a year) compared to Manchester’s Met system (~45m a year).

Manchester (£~400 pp) has under half the money spent per-head-of-population on transport and transport+road infrastructure compared to London (£~880 pp). And we have to pay more to use our transport than they do.
