Is the basic as fuck concourse, with the roughest of finishes and facilities consisting of a few spartan food and drink kiosks a nod towards what was available at Maine Road in the 70s?The stairs along with the visible plant equipment at the top of the expanded South stand was to give the stand exterior an industrial feel to tie in with the areas mining and engineering past.

I quite like plant equipment. :-) (get a life you sad b@stard!)
I was in NS2 from the stadium opening with my son and daughter until I moved when they both stopped going after the Aguero moment.we Moved this year from SS3 to NS 2, mainly because the old fella struggled up the stairs,
its got a lift but at least 3 times last year it was out of order,
Miss the noise level but its better for us in NS2,
can actually get a beer with minimal queues not 20-30 deep even at half time and stand without it tucked under you chin squashed in as people move about, because there in no space.
can also use the toilets at half time with no waiting and getting growled at by the smokers.
What do people want?I was in NS2 from the stadium opening with my son and daughter until I moved when they both stopped going after the Aguero moment.
I'm not bothered about the SS3 concourse particularly but it does make me laugh when you see comments about the club only doing things to the highest quality and referencing developments in Abu Dhabi. It wouldn't look out of place in a League One stadium other than its size. It was done on a minimal budget and that's exactly how it looks. The lift is out of action increasingly (was for Forest) but even though I'm 69 and recently had my second hip replacement I'm in reasonable working order and I can manage the stairs for now.
What is great about SS3 is the view and the atmosphere in my opinion.
Looks like we are being considered for the Euro semi- final in 2028,our dear friends at UEFA clearly want to sample our enhanced corporate facilities. What do people want?
If you want real quality these days they are charging you
SS3 is basic and so is the price
Lots of posters seem to think the new NS will offer cheap SCs and best in class facilities. I'm just pointing out that it is highly unlikely. What do people want?

I’m in SS3 and never have much of a problem getting a pintLots of posters seem to think the new NS will offer cheap SCs and best in class facilities. I'm just pointing out that it is highly unlikely.
I do think the club missed a trick with the SS3 concourse as done better it could generate a lot more income but it is what it is. As I'm a perennial contender for winning The World's Tightest Man Award I just walk through it to get to and from my seat anyway.
