It'll be hot in there during September, like Ewood park during the 0-4 in October 2011...Fucking roasting in the away end that afternoon.
I think it's groovy too.as said in past next stadium up grade should be to turn soul Blue light off
Compare our stadium now to the heap that was Maine Rd, and as a kid I used to think that was such an amazing place.
The Etihad is a great stadium, surpassed as an English club ground only by the Emirates and Spurs, but if we do the North Stand, then we'll overtake them. I don't care about the concourse. It's a place I walk through to get to my seat. As for the design, well it beats most of the generic bowls that most modern stadium resemble. Spurs ground from the outside is boring, and I don't particularly like it. I much prefer our stadium from the outside. Inside, the two seating set-ups are quite similar though Spurs has the edge.

I am sure Spurs fans are really excited at the moment. They are nine years old and it's Christmas night.I took a Dutch friend to the ground for a game recently - he's a Feyenoord fan, and De Kuip is certainly a proper football stadium. He loved the Etihad, thought it was hugely impressive, yet still genuinely a football ground. Sometimes I think we just moan for the sake of it. Are there things that could be better? Sure there are - and the Spurs fans will soon find things to complain about as well. Is it a terrific ground? Yes it is.

That looks really good but expensive to carry out. Adding further tiers to that already massive stadium can't be easy and quick as that video plays out. It'll be hot in there during September, like Ewood park during the 0-4 in October 2011...Fucking roasting in the away end that afternoon.
What we forget is that over 1 third of our ground is below ground level. So from outside it doesn't look that big.
Very perceptive comment . Well worth remembering .What we forget is that over 1 third of our ground is below ground level. So from outside it doesn't look that big.

If it ever happens-Madrid have been talking about this for years-it was originally announced in 2004!!!!-last time I checked it was supposed to be finished in 2017!Problem is it adds zero new capacity at a huge cost and they are effectively bust with an ageing team that will cost a fortune to rebuild-plus the Spanish economy is still trying to recover from the 2009 crash.Good Publicity though.Compare it to our lot who are definitely not bust, have a young team increasingly tied own on long contracts and just get quietly on with the Stadium & associated developments.will be paid for by the king of spain and local government no doubt
It will happen, was there at the weekend and they announced it and were showing videos and plans. The Sheikh was going to pay for Madrid’s stadium facelift at one point and then pulled out didn’t he?If it ever happens-Madrid have been talking about this for years-it was originally announced in 2004!!!!-last time I checked it was supposed to be finished in 2017!Problem is it adds zero new capacity at a huge cost and they are effectively bust with an ageing team that will cost a fortune to rebuild-plus the Spanish economy is still trying to recover from the 2009 crash.Good Publicity though.Compare it to our lot who are definitely not bust, have a young team increasingly tied own on long contracts and just get quietly on with the Stadium & associated developments.
Very nice, football has come a long way from walking through piss on the Kippax although in that video there wasn't a shot of anything at pitch level almost like the game is secondary.Going to Spurs new stadium next Week.
Will take some picture’s.
If the picture’s don’t show up on the thread, which has been happening, Ric or the Mods can you look into this, or maybe it’s Just me, I post a link to the picture’s.

To be fair for the first time since 1939 - the Spanish Head of State isn’t a Real Madrid fan... King Felipe is an Atletico fan allegedly.
