It would be great though. Just 10 minutes of heat to stop your bones freezing

I sat in the Cricket Field End at Burnley in 69, my dad kept telling me it'd be warm because they had warm air under seat heating. What he didn't tell me was that Bob Lord was to tight to switch it on. I remember freezing more than the match.

Was just going to post about this!

the Cricket Field Stand had hot air pipes built into it and outlets for that air under every seat. It was billed as the future of football, like Burnley's team of the time.

In the event it was never switched on because it would have cost more than the entire turnover of the football club to run it for one one game.

Question for GXCity, hope you can answer fella. How far does the first phase of the development of the collar site creep northwards. Does it go up to the tramlines/canal, does it fall short or does it go beyond. Just trying to get an understanding of the scale of the different phases. Cheers fella. Or nybody else in the know.

As there is a time limit for the collar site to be developed contained within the partnership with MCC under which the club were 'gifted' land etc I was simply wondering how long the club will likely leave the start of the collar site, or you could see it as wondering how quickly the club will develop the stadium.

I don't personally work on the stadium side of things so can't confirm anything. However, from what I do know, there are various architect designs and if we fill the extended ground then they will be implemented. Personally, I think you are talking a 10 year + timescale for further expansion, if required.

I reckon 60k will be just about right for our fan base and anything more could end up looking empty for the lesser games. I really can't see our average attendance doubling in that timescale.
