Anyone know if the document would be able to be saved onto an iPad?
I have a 26 hour flight coming up soon and this would be excellent reading throughout.

e-mail to your self as a PDF and click on the attachment you get a icon (rectangle with an arrow coming out) there is an option to open in iBooks

From what I heard they can't/won't put another tier on top of the current side tiers, they would just extend it up by the number of rows possible, so the expansion number is limited, so if it says over 70,000 then I guess it will be between 70-80,000, hopefully 1 more seat than the Rags have ;).

Thats right as it would need a complete new roof to add additional tiers on East and West

I hadn't realised this before but it looks like the original cable net ring stays suspend on its wires underneath the new roof whilst a second set of cable stays hold the new roof up above it...

Yes it does Been said many times on here that it is impossible to break the cablenet without a new roof, hence the reason the extension is compromised by the supports going through the new structure

So the proposed seats that are going in at ground level is that a definite, not heard that before? And when will that start?

Bet your bottom dollar that these extra 2000 seats at pitch level have been put in to ensure the final capacity (after east and west stand expansions) exceeds the capacity at the swamp, otherwise why would they do it???

Actually I think its more to with getting over the 60,000 figure. Because... I've had my ruler and calculator out on those roofless renders which show how big the enlarged east/west third tiers would be (as compared to current third tier side capacity) to try and work out what the final final capacity could be. And disappointingly it falls short of the swamps 76,000 total....

By my reckoning we need another 8 rows on the back of those sides to get over the line...

You do realise the perimeter of the new rear curve will be considerably larger than the current front row of 276 seats as the rows go back. In effect this means the rear rows will have more seats than the front rows of 276 seats!

My estimation is that very rear row could have as many as 320 seats compared to the front row of 276ish! It might not get to 76,000 but it will be not far off.

So when we add those 9,300 extra seats in when the sides are done...

Fuck me it looks like Moonchesters squashed head !!

Lol!

You are spot on. I wonder whether it is some hidden Easter Egg by the architect who realised only blues would spot it. Freakishly similar for coincidence.

I see that the game at The Etihad in the 2015 Rugby Union World Cup will be between Wales vs. Australia
on 10th October 2015. The Stadium is expected to hold 61,000 at this time(the current capacity of 47,750 is to be increased).
