The vast majority of MPs are decent, hard-working people who have gone into politics because they are passionate about our country and want to do what they can to make it even better. There's the odd bad apple obviously in any group of 650 people but if you honestly believe they are all "a bunch of self serving c*nts", you really have got issues.

I think that their priority will mostly be their career advancement in order to provide for themselves. Plenty of MPs wouldn't be touched with a barge pole by private companies after they finish serving, so they have to remain on the political scene. The EU is an easy and lucrative place for them to do so. Look at Kinnock and Mandelson - voted out by the UK electorate and straight onto the EU gravy train. Even Corbyn, who I thought rather principled, has completely shifted his view on the EU now that he has made the front bench and has a profile that the EU might be keen on hiring.

While it fails to register with the likes of you that they DO have a say in how the country is run, they can vote out any MP they want to, they have the right to demand a trial by a jury of their peers in a capital offence, they can take civil matters to the queens bench as a right.
The Hillsborough verdict as an example would not have been possible in any other EU country because the state makes the decision and thats the end of the matter.

No pal, thats what they are supposed to be, the true picture is most are party hacks who will follow the party line no matter what they promised the mugs who voted for them, it wasn`t a "Few bad apples" who were fiddling their expenses but a political elite who came up through a party system, hardly the decent hard working people you see.

I intend to vote 'out', however like most people, I'm prepared to listen to what the other side says and take thier points on board - I don't think the 'In' campaign has done enough to promote a healthy and prosperous EU moving forward

This may well be because there is no sign of the EU being healthy and prosperous any time soon, my point is they seem to be telling the public that it isn't great now but at least you're in work and WW3 hasn't broken out

I agree even if you want to leave, basing a decision on a campaign led by Gove, Johnson, Farage and IDS is like expecting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to bring a better future.
