European away games ticketing policy

What about those fans who go to all the PL away matches, but don't go to all the cup home matches.

There are plenty of City fans who have signed up for the 3 cup schemes, will attend all the home cup matches, regardless of the opposition.

There were 14,000 empty seats against BMGB. I bet some of those empty seats belonged to fans who always go away, but have enough *loyalty points* not to have to bother with homes cup games, especially in the ELC and/or FA Cup.

Loyalty isn't just about attending away matches.

Always said points shouldn't be added to your account until your card has been used at each cup game.

Wonder how many folks that like me get their. 190 points for renewing 100 points for fa cup scheme and 10 points for every home fa cup game ,0 last year .so a yearly total of 290 points

But you sign up for the cup schemes and you're are quite rightly rewarded with points. If you only do the PL aways, you lose out on these points. The introduction of the platinum card means that most are not complacent, regardless of points accumulated.

X

say for some reason you can't go to a game can easily happen as your saying you'll buy a ticket for a game sometime next year you don't know date or KO time if city dock you points you should also get a refund on your ticket
Signing up for the cup scheme is saying you'll attend every home game in that tournament, whenever the games are.

So is buying a season card so will they dock points every league game as well

It's not saying I'll attend it's saying I'll buy a ticket how can I say I'll attend something if I don't know when it'll be on or if this event will even happen

You can release your seat back to the club for a number of league games. Maybe once or twice a season in the cup would be an option.
But some people sign up to cup schemes for points too, without any interest in going to the early rounds.

Surely loyalty means loyalty.
If you've put the hours in travelling, taken the holidays off work, spent all the cash, deprived the kids and then got divorced - surely your more deserving than someone who chooses not to make those sacrifices. Also, on the same vein, how about deducting points for leaving early & arriving late. Those who stay to cheer the team off at the end could make up points very quickly.

I actually think there is something in this last bit. They do something at City Square where you can scan your 'citizens' card and gain extra points. They could very easily create a software solution and scanner that only became active after the 90 minutes were up. You could also do the same going in (if you spend longer in the stadium you get an extra 5 points etc).

You have got 15000 points since 2009???
1,500 points 9th June 2002 Transferred from Maine Rd
1,850 points acquired by 26th March 2009
3,350 Total
15,665 acquired since 26th March 2009.
19,015 Grand total
A lot of effort and not too few nights in sleeping in Airports. Many have built up ticket points this way..
