European away games ticketing policy

Umpteen pages of people debating and moaning about a ballot system which the club have never mentioned and has very little chance of being put in place.
Also still people saying they would rather keep the system as it is as it is fairer for points holders and stops ticket whoring, no one is saying change that element, it's the collection process which is the issue. It is possible to keep the same system without the ball ache of collecting tickets. You can have one without the other !
bingo.
only this.

I actually think there is something in this last bit. They do something at City Square where you can scan your 'citizens' card and gain extra points. They could very easily create a software solution and scanner that only became active after the 90 minutes were up. You could also do the same going in (if you spend longer in the stadium you get an extra 5 points etc).
They are for the citizen portal competition's ect not tickets

Maybe points over five years old should be halved.

As someone has pointed out, points were accrued at a slower rate pre cup schemes etc. For example in the first Etihad season, only 100 points were awarded for a ST. So most people have accrued most of their points in the last 5 or 6 years. If points over 5 years old were halved, there would still be some advantage from having historical points but it would give younger fans a much better chance of catching up.
We got way more than 100pts for a season card back then

just checked season ticket renewal 2002/3/4 was 100 points a season 05/06 was 420. 06/07 was 290 strange account system we must have had.
Yea sorry the extra came into play in 04/05 the extra was for the likes of city card holders getting 20 or 30 points against the lesser leans like Wigan and Fulham the extra was added on at the end of each season

I think they should have their own printing press just so they could give tickets to all and sundry.....oh wait a minute.

Ticket allocations to Supporters Clubs should be increased. It's easy to go to the games but it shows a wider commitment to turn up for meetings and promote the Blues to new potential fans.

if it aint broke don't fix it.
I think your right . It doesn't need changing just make it easier and less time consuming when picking tickets up. And this from someone with less than 11000 points . Those who earn the points should benifits.

That is correct although they were added on a running total basis, although they would not be added if there was a big game etc as points were frozen during some application periods.

You got 1000 for being a season ticket holder in 2003/04 as the loyalty bonus, I believe this still is the case but you don't always get it straight away, and you got 190 per season plus additional difference for higher point home league matches after a couple of seasosn. If you were a season ticket holder prior (an continuous) before 2003 you got 100 points per season up to 500, so nothing for prior to 1998.

Tracking started in 2001/02 for league away and all cup games, and each of these extra games attended were added to your total as 10 points in 2003/04. The max you could have for before you entered the new stadium was 2010, as there was nothing (certainly not up front) for that season itself. 223 games counted towards to maximum starting points total. Now you get get more than that in a season.
