The 1930s wants its themes back
As long as you are grateful for the leadership the Supporters Club has shown in getting the the European away ticket policy suspended.

Brilliant. As long as you are grateful for the leadership the Supporters Club has shown in getting the the European away ticket policy suspended.
Brilliant.
Not social media and even the MUENews picking the story up about everyone getting soaked. Tim, I don't know if you're serious, on the wind up, or here to shift spares. Anyway I'm off to the cellar and staying there 'till May.
I was in that queue too mate. Just trying to give a bit of balance about the benefits of the Supporters Clubs. Enjoy the cellar.
this
Seriously mate.
I don’t claim to be a super fan, but for all intent and purposes, I’m usually in the 1st or 2nd echelon when it comes to away match criteria
However, I’ve never been in the supporters club.
I could understand the magic of the 70s and 80s when players used to attend branch meetings, or even the camaraderie of cross-branch pub sports/activities.
Nowadays, I read public squabbles on Facebook over branch ticket allocations, and who went to meetings etc etc
I even listened to three hours of petty supporters club branch politics on the Thomson coach to Glasgow last week.
Fair enough, if it works out cheaper to travel together on a coach, but apart from that, why would I benefit from joining?
The cross branch pub games has gone I'm afraid still I've got a lot of good mates in the supporters club we have a beer and travel together, going up to Glasgow last week on branch bus an awful lot easier. Dropped at ticket collection had a drink something to eat and back in house for 2.30am what more can you ask it was either drive or have extra day off and go on train, supporters club does have somethings going for it.Seriously mate.

It's not just about loyalty. At the time the platinum s/t was introduced I had enough points to attend almost all away games, however I didn't opt to join the scheme. Anyone behind me on the points ladder caught me up very quickly and have now sailed off into the distance. As nobody is allowed to join the scheme if they didn't do so at the time this has created a closed shop. Any young blues wil have next to no chance of attending away games in the future and that is a shame for them and the club.
No but you can buy loyalty points.Exactly mate. The extra £50 to go platinum is an absolute disgrace and should never have been implemented to begin with, you cannot buy loyalty.
