Evan Ferguson

Seriously though, his 'goals to games' ratio is based on four games. And one of those was a hat trick. Let's see him do it for a season before we start proclaiming him the next Haaland.
It's very unusual for an 18-year old striker to be performing at the level he is in the PL. The last one to be performing at a higher level was Rooney. He may not be a total freak like Haaland but I'd be surprised if he doesn't develop into a 20-25 PL goals a season striker.

Just three competitive ones tho, which is what matters.
No its not, its any 3 games. Or not have played international football for 3 years and not appeared in a tournament ie world cup or euros.

'fielded in no more than three matches at "A" international level in any kind of football for his current association, whether in an official competition or non-official competition'

His goals to games ration of 115 minutes per goal is based on his 24 league appearances.

Let's see what he's like at 23 or so.

Seen many many raw talents, massive stars, next big thing, future Pele, type players that are just young and full of confidence.

After a few years in the spotlight, pressure, new relationships, all the stuff that comes with growing up, let's see how he is then.
But people talking about hundreds of millions for a young lad at that stage are fools imo. He could turn out to be a Rashford. Or a Michael Owen.

Sorry.
Let the fanboy insults begin.

Definitely, Brighton don’t know fully what they have got so are not going to risk selling unless someone massively overpays and no-one should be willing to pay the amount they require at this point as not been done over a long enough period.

As you say Chelsea see things slightly differently, so they are probably the only ones who might do something.

However, players like him should not rush to make a move, a few years of Brighton would no doubt provide plenty of game time and for continued chances as and when form drops.

Yeah, but goal per minutes are largely bollocks unless it's done over a number of years. There are plenty of super subs that have had world class goal per minute ratios when coming on against tired legs, but don't replicate it when they start matches. There are also plenty of young players who exploit the unknown factor and score loads initially only to find that the goals dry up once opposition defences figure them out a bit. I'm not saying he's not going to be a fantastic striker, just let's give him some time before we declare him the next Alan Shearer.

It feels like 99% of the negative reaction is because we know we've got our striker situation sorted, so Ferguson is likely going to Chelsea, Liverpool or United and he's already being treated like a rival player.

He's what we all got hyped into believing delap would be. He's a brilliant traditional centre forward adapted to the modern game, he's going to be an exceptional player but he won't be a city player, not whilst Haaland remains a blue.

Cant see him being sold anytime soon. He chose Brighton ahead of united because he thought he stood a better chance of developing and getting games and he's just signed a new long contract with them, seems to have a good head on him. I don't think he's the type to be in a rush to move clubs. unless Brighton implode, staying there for a few years yet will give him everything he needs.

So this thread is mostly about whether he’s English or not and whether we need him?

Easy goes, couldn’t care less, and we have Haaland, an Evan Ferguson respectfully is never reaching these levels

Are you Nostradamus reincarnated? :)

Liverpool will have the money to tempt Brighton into a sale so for me that's where he'll go next summer. Assuming of course he maintains his recent form for the whole season and not just a handful of games. There's been plenty of up and coming stars who ultimately can't sustain the form/levels required by top sides like City. I'd want to see alot more before we compete to sign him if we are interested.

Brighton also know they have 200m so they'll be asking for 150m
