Everton (H) | Post-Match Thread

It certainly wasn't apparent he would be so key to the team. He played in the shadow of yaya, was slightly better than Fernando, and yes wasnt De Jong
Far too often players are compared to other players and evaluated on that basis rather than seeing them as different players with their own unique skillset and mentality.
Teams have to evolve and adapt to the strengths of players they have at their disposal at any given time rather than trying to fit square pegs into round holes.
We never did get our Yaya replacement, or maybe we did.

A little ‘off topic’ post …. But can you imagine being Foden, in bed tonight, and thinking, the boss subbed me early to save for the CL final, before; De Bruyne, Diaz, Fernandinho, Mahrez …. :O
Should have been off at HT, Allan, Davies & Decoure kicked lumps out of him yet the skinny runt still took the piss, watching him 12 months on is frightening he's a wonderfull player with the world at his feet & 1 of our own

i love the manchester city mentality of next season starts again tomorrow. we can never stand still or let sentimental get in the way. the hunger is even bigger than yesterday. this club our club manchester city are now a galaxy and light years from 10 years ago

forget the champions league final win or lose manchester city are in a place that every other club would love to be in
i could see it from everybody yesterday. the manager players staff fans pundits the media. its the place everybody wants to be at and everybody is trying to jump on board

now players want to come to manchester city we don't need to sell the club to anybody or outbid anybody ?
you have to be blind or crazy not to sign for manchester city

i said it last week in the transfers thread ? (strikers) on the market somebody is going to miss out this summer
kane haaland mbappe all would walk to manchester city in bare feet and sign right now

I was really concerned as well. Kept thinking I hope they have got a jumper or something under their Champions tops like I used to wear under my Whit Sunday walks dress when we weren't allowed to wear cardigans or jumpers!! My Mum always bought a white cardigan to go under the dress!! :-)
This must be the first post in bluemoon history to mention Whit walks and football in the same breath. Now if you'd got Wakes week in Blackpool in there as well ...

Glass of wine in the ground???? Some buggers have all the luck, no alcohol for us peasants in the cheap seats.

Talking of wine I made the mistake of going into that pub upstairs in Piccadilly station pre game. No bitter on so I asked for a large glass of house red. £8.07!!!!!! He asked if I wanted a receipt and I said, "No thanks it's bad enough I've been robbed I don't want a reminder."
