I've never known such a disparity between Everton and Liverpool, and not just in terms of points, but of quality too.

Everton always used to give Liverpool a tough game, even if they didn't win. Can't see that happening now, although if a miracle happens I will happily admit my failure as a pundit

I fear this could get very messy for Everton today. Even if they were at home I think they'd lose easily 3-0, at Anfield it could be five or six, they're that bad. In the old days they might at least make it difficult and defend well, now they can't even do that.

In the words of Jimmy Greaves "it's a funny old game". I can't see it either but anything can happen in a one off and as much as the media blow smoke up the bum of the "quad squad" TM, I don't think they are as great as they are made out to be. They can be got at but Everton's defence is poor against a strikeforce that is quite lethal, so the odds are against them.

The one good thing about Allardyce: we gave Liverpool a hard time under him. OK, we didn't beat them but they didn't beat us.
