It’s worth noting that Leicester are one of the clubs rumoured to be looking to sue. That’s the same Leicester who breached Championship FFP in 2014 and were fined for it but not deducted points. That same season they won promotion to the Prenier League. If they do try to sue your club then I’m sure they’d welcome being sued by those clubs they were promoted at the expense of ;)
And because of them points deductions for entering administration was invented.

Didnt know that. So why were they only fined and we wernt. Was it because the EFL couldnt enforce it due to them getting out of the league.

I see Forest have had a go too. The same Forest who must earn buttons commercially and have spent about £200m in the last 2 years. They must be sailing close too.

I can imagine. This has nothing to do with you, yet for some reason you are becoming the bigger story, with people frothing to see you banished to the conference tomorrow, the ground demolished and all the trophies handed over.

An owner of a team ahould be allowed to spend whatever they want of their own cash to run a club. Whether thats in League 2 or the PL. Newcastle are finding it difficult now. Leicester had to cut back due to revenue, even though they had just won the PL. Yet Utd's owners can leverage the club to make themselves rich, be shit for years but can throw £100m at one player to improve because they built up a fanbase 15/20 years ago? Its basically a 'know your place' rule.

Anyway its beside the point, but I hope between a few clubs, these absolute farcical rules get binned.

I agree there has to be fairness but there must be another way

No chance of that so long as it's up to the PL and Richard Masters . They are the fucking cancer that needs to be removed from the equation .

Eveton's next game at home is United this should be fun, Booing the Premier League at the handshakes
I can see loads of trouble happening and Everton fans are a crazy bunch and even a full pitch invasion by their fans could happen, This could be an ugly game for the Premier League and its officials attending.

One Dodgy thing by the match Officials and VAR in favour of Utd could see the roof coming off, I bet their fans are already meeting to sort out a protest of some sort in and out of the ground

Its Skysport's main event 4.30pm kick off hahahaha

I think it’s because it was a different governing body. That said, there’s no previous precedent for a FFP breach in the PL so a 10 point deduction for a first-time offence is incredibly harsh IMO. As far as I know, the EFL have only ever handed out financial punishments for FFP breaches. I just find it incredibly rich that Leicester would have the cheek to sue when they’ve done the same in the past. It’s basically the same people who own and run the club as back then too - minus the top man who sadly died in the helicopter crash of course - so they can’t claim that their breach was under different owners to now.

I’m not sure why Forest have issues as they stayed up. Plenty of talk about their owner being a proper wrong ‘un as well

I haven’t looked it up by I’m sure Leeds got a mega points deduction. They ended up in League One for a few seasons.
