Everything Star Wars

Started watching it about a year ago and thought it was all a bit "meh", possibly on account of it not being John Williams who orchestrated the scores (BIG part of Star Wars), got to episode 4 of season 1 and got diabetes as a result of the Disney branded saccharin it was laced with.

Going to give it another go on account of loving Star Wars IV and V.
Episode III is pretty good too IMO.
Rogue One is probably the best out of all the films; not just a brilliant star Wars film but also actually just a brilliant film.
Solo - very decent.
Episode's VII, VIII, IX - dear god please kill me now.

I finished this in the past week. Watched the first few of the first series about a year ago and didn't really like it/couldn't get into it, but I was told to stick with it.

Glad I did, the end of the first series is really good and the seconds series is too - the end was genuinely one of the best things I've seen as far as giving me goose bumps goes!

I don't understand how you can like Solo but not VII or IX..?

Totally agree with Rogue One. Best Star Wars made, until season 2 of Mando

I "like" RotJ, but it's just not one of the films I go back to and repeatedly watch again and again like some of the others, maybe it's just those damn Ewoks and C3PO flying about being their God that makes me shake my head, or maybe I'm just holding onto my youthful "so Star Wars has finished now"! feelings too much :)

Episode IX? Dear God! Where do I start??? So, SO Bad (IMO)

I Like Solo. I think it's a decent attempt at a story, not keen on the feminist robot/droid, bit too mouthy for my tastes ( :) ) but I can still watch the film and enjoy it.

Watched Mandalorian again last night, got back up to episode 4, going to finish 1st series off today. Initial reactions are that I may have been being a bit harsh, it's better than I remember it being.

Still think it's lacking that "John Williams magic" though.

Finished season 1, loved the last few episodes where the Empire got involved. So I binge watched the entire second series and just watched the last episode now.

WOW!

Suppose I've got to eat humble pie haven't I :)

I take it all back, BRILLIANT TV. :)

Episode IX was a disgrace to Star Wars.

It was just a massively over the top CGI-fest with no storyline, weak writing and weak acting.

it’s the best bit of Star Wars done in recent memory.

even better than the clone wars animated series.

I agree with rogue one

Anybody else enjoying Fett? I'm finding it superb.

My only concern is that he's a ruthless mercenary and all of a sudden since the Sarlak incident he is morphing in to the Mandalorian.

Never the less, really enjoyable so far.

Yes I am, and especially Ming Na-wen as Fennic, who has become a fan favourite quite quickly.

On his charactor, I think the backstory of his time with the tuskan raiders is developing to show his more milder persona forming as seen now.

Though he was never overly ruthless in the clone wars tbf.

Fair. I've not watched any of the clone wars animated series so can't comment. I suppose from a different perspective Solo is a sod so apply perspective to Fett

I'm really looking forward to the next episode, loved the Tuscan episode. Spoiler function doesn't work well on my phone so I can't comment further.

Loving the backstory of his escape and the Tuskens, witn the Hutts been involved then that’s when it will kick off and the black Wookie looks badass

Nice to see charactors from the wider universe are still being introduced, the wookie krrasantan is from some graphic novels set on tantooine O think, I would expect he will appear in Obi-Wan too.

It feels like The Mandolorian in that the production design is top notch ...... yet I just don’t connect with the characters or the story.

The “plot” seems a coincidental way to deliver the characters from one fight to the next. It feels like The A-Team but without the humour.

But it looks fantastic.

To be fair unlike the mandalorian who is a new charactor, they have had to pay some fan service in the first few episodes to answer how fett escaped the sarlac pit, what was he doing before he saved Fennec in the dessert, set the scene for the otger cities on the planet beyond mos eisley, introduce charactors from various cannon set on tantooine (kkrrasantan, the hutt family beyond jabba) I expect Dr Alpha, black sun and others to be introduced eventually too.

Now they have got the flashbacks and hutts out of the way, setting the Pykes as the main protagonists I expect it to move forward much more.

Robert Rodriguez did episode 3 so cyborg space mods on hover vespas is no shock.

Enjoying Fett so far, only issue is that they could have chosen a more mobile actor to play the part. He moves like me after a skinful of Tiger beer
