Ezequiel Lavezzi

As someone who's been very vocal about my dislike for lavezzi I think I've reversed my opinion and this could make great sense.i honestly think he is the player bobby wishes aj would be.

So if Tevez does go to Napoli, there would be 3 players who could get a swap deal for:

Hamsik ( didn't he fall out with Manager ? ) but I don't think we need him we have Nasri and Silva with Saurez and Roman coming through.

Cavani he seems to be more out and out striker which personally we don't need as we have dzeko and Ballo.

Lavezzi I haven't watched him that much apart from a few games on espn and against us, is he and out an out attacker or players deeper, is he pacy ? skillfull?

I would say he has pace, skills, but maybe even more important to Mancini (or at least equally important) he has got 100% determination and a noticeable winning mentality. He's a real fighter who works his socks off (like Tevez and Zaba) and some say he is a bit crazy, in a good way.
I think Mancini loves that type of player an could make him even better than he is today. They just fit very well together me thinks.

He could play on the winds but also in the middle behind a main striker. I wouldn't be surprised if he did a great job as an attacking mf as well.

Fausto Salsano has by the way confirmed we are interested in Lavezzi, as well as speaking very highly of Hamsik (whom I am not at all excited about).

Is Lavezzi worth 40 mil? or will we accept that Tevez is now 25-30 mil and call it a like-for-like replacement?
I have only seen Lavezzi play in that home match against us, and I could see that he was good. But is he as good as Tevez?

I'd be absolutely delighted with a straight swap, player for player. So what if Lavezzi has a lower current market value (which I'm not sure he has). We get rid of a player who is is like a cancer to our club and the evil snake which is his agent. We'll cut back a lot of money on weekly salaries as well.
I really hope this happens.

hmm... I guess the swap would be feasible if we sign Lavezzi for, like, 100k per week wage. That would shave off almost 100k-120k per week from the wage bill by shipping out Tevez...

But again, is Lavezzi as good as Tevez?

At scoring goals? No. At working his ass off, getting up and down the pitch relentlessly? Yes. I've always looked at him like a faster, harder-working Adam Johnson.

And far more interested in playing for the team instead of for himself.
A plus for Lavezzi also is that he is lethal in one-on-one situations, not exactly Tevez's strong side.

Not sure that really matters at all mate. At this point Sergio, Dzeko and Balotelli have surpassed Carlitos even at his best. What were looking for is a phenomenal 4th striker whom is comfortable being the 4th striker. Sure Lavezzi would get into games. But he wouldn't get the kind of sub minutes the third striker would get.
