FA Cup Final - Post Game thread

Very disappointing but after last season to have won the league again is fantastic and for me was the one to win. On the rags thinking of the bigger picture glad they are stuck in the Thursday night cup. You can be sure whoever it is being lined up to take over will not have wanted them in this, they would much prefered to be at home resting between premiership games instead of now having to go to Moldiva and god knows where. Only benefits ten hairs as he can depart having given them a trophy versus a team with a huge hangover.

I think Bernie will be off and Kyle and Johnny Stones
i feel Pep will change something next year, possibly two up front could be interesting as Haaland is getting crowded out completely against the top defences that sit back and we need to create more space for him.

The back line i think will continue to evolve into a proper 3 which makes sense having the defenders we do.

We need a right winger with pace IMO or De bruyne can go out there and spam crosses in at high speed.

Silva will likely go and if we can get Musiala I dont mind at all. How about the left winger as well (the lad from Napoli maybe). Jack needs a kick up the arse; get fit get back to being brilliant.

If Bobb is gonna be brilliant then lets get him in the team soon as. rotating right/left with Doku.

Saw a 4yr old on the news last night from Gaza. He lost his parents in a missile strike & then a couple of weeks later another strike took his legs. This kid was tearing around in his wheelchair with a big smile on his face, if a child can deal with proper adversity I'm sure losing a football match pales in significance.
save it for the politics thread!

Be disappointed with the result and the performance by all means. To be excessively slating anyone's mentality or commitment means you've earned your hall pass into the entitlement club alongside fans of the red shirted clubs . The levels this team maintains year upon year are insane and sometimes an off day has worse consequences than others. We fucked it in the first half but we move! Another successful season under our belts and another great one ahead.

I just look at how far we have come - we have won the PL title for the fourth season in a row and we are questioning how much of a success our season was. Really?

Contrary to what people say this is a competitive league - we are champs the dippers have the EFL Cup and now the rags hold the FA Cup - hardly the dominance people accuse us of. And as a billy bonus Arsenal get nothing as once again we rub their faces in the dirt - for me thats a success

The first one with Martinez just straight-up putting his shoulder in Haaland's back with zero intent to play the ball was far more egregious IMO, and that's saying something.
I thought the first minute one was the stonewaller.

The one in the second half, Haaland was grabbing Mainoo too and they generally never get given.

If we’d lost the semi, we’d still be in the pub now celebrating the title. Nobody wins every cup final and nobody wins every derby.

Some of the comments on here though. the greatest team the country has ever seen has an off day, down to celebrating 4 in row, and people want to sell everyone. Jesus.

If I’d been offered a cup final defeat for the certainty of the league before the Fulham fixture I’d have taken it.
I wouldn't, I'd want both...and I suspect Pep and the team would too

That’s a penalty for any other player than erl. He didn’t give it because it was so early on. Convinced

I don’t even get arses with the shit decisions these days as we just have to win things on our own

What a fucking pile of shit post. Calling our players wankers, just fuck off.

They played like wankers, and they fullydeservethe name. Praise them for what they've achieved, but call them out when they clearly put in a performance that was an embarrassment to the shirt.

On the beach, gutless, irresponsible piss heads, most of whom should be fined two weeks wages for that disgusting performance today.

There were a few 'last games' played for City out there today.

Achieving history last weekend will have been such a huge relief after all the pressure of the previous 2 months. It may just taken the edge off the players' desire. Only a theory.

I thought winning the treble might have had a similar effect on this season as a whole but it didn't although we never quite hit the heights of 22/23.
that is absolutely no excuse for todays performance, they had a chance to create history and do something that's never been achieved before in this country, just think about that for a minute

First goal was daft. Second was criminal, allowing 4 v 3. Where were midfielders?
