I feel that my preference for quality long term investment then is only strengthened. If we don't "need" a certain number and can include as many HG players as we deem necessary then why not invest that little bit more in them. Especially in a sanction free summer.The word quota is the problem that trips people up, there is no quota that we have to fill. If you want a first team squad of maybe 22 players, even if they are all over 21, you still only would need 5 of them to be HG. Homegrown playes just make building the squad easier, they aren't essential in the way that the media all of a sudden seems to be presenting them as. It's entirely up to how big we want our squad to be really, but the only important number is the 17 foreign players over the age of 21, how many homegrown players you have on top of that is completely up to us.
I'm not addressing this part to you personally, I don't see my point of view as being unreasonable or nonsensical.
